There is a shortage of workers all over Florida. I have local businesses close on random days due to staff shortages.

The issue is, you have a more livable wage off of unemployment than actually working.

I'm not. I post when I'm stuck in zoom waiting rooms... which is on and off all day.

With all trials still on hold, most in-person proceedings on hold.... it's a LOT of time stuck in zoom waiting rooms.

There are different types of lawyers you know. Not all of them are trial lawyers with big cases. There are plenty of "boring" ones that deal with contracts and such and have much more free time.

For state. Federal government is also giving out unemployment which isn't based on income.

No... it was extended for low wage employees with an extra payment, so that low wage employees are actually getting more on unemployment than they can get by being employed. And it goes through September.

I believe that it was extended until Sept 4th. I am sure that if they don't extend it again, there will be plenty looking for a job at that point. But right now, it is a much better deal to sit at home with free money then work at crap jobs. Those who want to work, are doing so.

An extra $300 a week until September 6th, under CARES Act III. Florida unemployment benefits run out after 26 weeks. The CARES Acts have extended that to 50 weeks.

Disney is petrified of any chance of a COVID outbreak tied to their resorts, restaurants, or theme parks. This is the only thing that will trump profit right now.

They could have opened up months ago at 100%, but have not and don’t seem to be moving towards that at any speed. There’s a reason for this.

Wasn’t there a guest who died shortly after visiting Disney/ Orlando at the beginning of the pandemic due to Covid19?? It was on the news for just a couple of days then went away.
