Parking going up to $14

This is starting to get ridiculous! Soon we'll have to take a second mortgage out on our houses, just to visit Disney World.

How many people that have posted in this thread don't stay on site and actually need to pay for parking?

I live local so I pay for parking depending wheather or not I have an annual pass. I usually get Disney annual passes one year, Universal Orlando the next and Sea World Orlando the following. I keep my annual passes in rotation so I don't get bored of one particular theme park chain. When I don't have annual passes I pay for parking. As far as staying on Disney property I stay often, so I guess I save on parking that way. Over all I think the best way to save at the parks is to get an annual pass.

I usually make a breakfast reservation at one of the hotels. Is it wrong to leave the car there all day? I paid $100 bucks for the family to have waffles with Mickey, I dont think they lost anything with my car hanging out in their lot. 14 bucks toward my food bill seems a better use of the greenbacks.

Exactly what they don't want you to do, and this is a good business move, whether people like it or not.
Then they REALLY should offer what I listed on-site. I find it incredibly rediculous that I can get a suite, indoor coridors, and free breakfast for 70 a night off I-4 and 5 mins away.

Disney's outdoor coridors and mess of a breakfast don't cut it.
I think it is a twisted way to get people to stay on site.

Very smart.
 Makes it sound evil...

It IS evil!

In a very Disney way.

Well as a financial genius you are obviously immune to price rises as your huge income can absorb any and all increases with barely a bat of an eyelid. Some folk have already saved to make the trip, and this and the other rises all add up. Perhaps some consider things beyond the immediate impact to their selves.

If its so annoying for you to read such comments simply give the thread a miss.

Going to have to disagree with you here. By properly planning what you spend and set aside, ( yes, it can be done by anyone with a piece of paper and a pencil) these kinds of increases can be anticipated so it won't be that much of a burden. Just a little bit of self discipline can go a long way.

I know there are several here that will be outraged by that (to whom I say tough!) and say this is not what Walt wanted... But I will tell you Walt was not running a non-profit organization. Profits feed further growth and expansion.

I could see it becoming an add-on option for the lower pass, but I am also surprised to hear such an option is not available for the Seasonal Pass holders.

There is an option. It's called a full Annual Pass. The price difference is worth a little over a week's worth of parking fees.
