Park Hopper Question?

Do you need to get the park hopper option to go to a park in the morning, go to the hotel for some rest, and then return to the same park in the evening?

I wasn't sure if it's just for going to a diFferent park or if it is still needed to do this?

Thanks.

No, you only need the park hopper if your going to be going to more than 1 of the big 4 on any given day (MK, AK, DHS, EPCOT). You can even go to a water park and then to 1 of the big 4 without having to use a park hopper. Hope this helps.

True, but you need to add the Water Parks Fun and More option to your ticket to get to go to a water park. Just FYI.

How many days do you plan on staying at Disney? This will make it easier to suggest if you should get the park hopper or not. I'm staying for 5 days and got the hopper for more flexibility especially during the star wars weekend. If you want to go to magic kingdom for the day but take advantage of the world showcase @ epcot for dinner then I'd suggest adding the park hopper option.

Considering some parks stay open way later than others... the park hopper is a must for me. If I am enjoying myself at DHS and it closes at 9... bam, jump on over to MK for a midnight closing. I like maxxing out my WDW time!

I second the park hopper being a great addition. It easier not worry when making reservations for dinners and for extra magic hours! Worth the price!!

Nope, you just need it if you wanted to go to 2 or more parks in the same day. If you plan on going to the Magic Kingdom, heading back to your resort, and then heading back to the Magic Kingdom, then no park hopper is needed. However, if you wanted to switch it up and do MK in the a.m. and say, Epcot in the evening, then yes, you would need the Park Hopper option on your ticket. Hope this info helps! :sohappy:

Before I was going often enough to get an AP, this was exactly the reason why I always got the park hopper.

Nope. You can visit the park you chose for that day as much as you wish, you can go back to your resort and return.
I always recommend park hopper option for several reasons:

-perfect exploitation of the park opening hours, if you go to DAK without park hopper, your day at Disney can end at 5 PM!

-perfect exploitation of the EMH

-perfect exploitation of the Fastpass

-not too much planning ahead necessary, you stay flexible

-you can change your park plans due to the weather conditions, it they change you can change the park (EPCOT for example is a BAD park for bad weather)

Our record so far is four parks on one day, with TL (needs aditional Water Park Fun Option), DAK, DHS and MK on one day.

I tried the one park per day. Couldn't do it. I upgraded to park hopper. I found after doing all could do at AK & HS (and we did about everthing even if we didn't really want to, with the exception of Narnia), I still had alot of the day left.

I have a question...

If you are in the parks when EMH kicks in do they kick you out if you are already in the park?

Yes, if you are not staying at a Disney Resort (Shades of Green, Swan and Dolphin are included in EMH) you must leave. You have to have a valid park pass and resort card.

No this is wrong you do not have to leave. You can stay in the park until emh closing time you just can't ride rides.

I would never go to Disney without the Park Hopper. On our last trip the Magic Kingdom got crowded so we just hopped to another park instead of staying and standing in the long lines. Some parks are better at different times of the day.
