I'd love to take the Health Pavilion in Future World!

Alright. we can do some brainstorming. i would like for there to be a strong focus on edutainment. unlike wonders of life, more along the lines of medical advancements through the years. make it fun and exciting. its been my dream to create a park that gave people more than just a good time.

I'm studying to be a doctor so that's why I wanted to take this one

I totally agree! You can really start in Ancient Egypt and work your way up to modern medicine.

Eh, not a professional yet Still got lots of school ahead of me

Alrighty so just as a start I've researched some NEJM articles about medical history and advancements.

Kinda like World of Motion/Horizons/SSE - I think it would be interesting to point out famous people along the way and their accomplishments leading towards today....

3000 BC - Start with earliest known practices in Ancient Egypt - this the Edwin Smith Papyrus which is the earliest known surgical notes...

Then to 2000 BC Babylonia and the Diagnostic Handbook

Then to 600 BC India - Hindiusm and Herbal Medicine

Then to the Dynasties of China and the introduction of "traditional medicine"

Next to Hippocrates and the Hippocratic Oath (there's a ton of stuff that happened in Ancient Greece)

Ancient Rome as well

Then through the middle ages, plagues (that might be too ominous though), and the start of modern medical cures for diseases, vaccinations, smallpox cure, etc, then to MRIs, ECGs, all the technological advancements of today and the promise of a better tomorrow.


That's a rough outline...I'll work on it throughout the week to try and make it more "rideable"

I think this is a good outline to start with. Maybe we could have a dark ride when you enter that explains history until the present day, then it leads you into a futuristic research lab with more attractions. Kind of like living seas

Basically here's the pitch:

How can we bring as much as we can to the Disneyland resort in one last gate? My answer is Project humanity. Celebrating mankinds achievements, past, present and future. And our relationship with the natural world. Imagine EPCOT meets animal kingdom.

The first phase of the project includes 2/3 new disney hotels, and a new peoplemover/monorail circling the resort.

The park is divided into two parts. Technological and world. basically future world and DAK meets world showcase. This initial design calls for the world to be flat across the rear of the park. ive decided to change this to a U shape to allow for maximum immersion.

At the entrance to the park stands Spaceship earth. This time, its a huge smooth golden globe, atop a pedestal of rooks and water features. this futuristic yet classical style symbolizes both concepts of the park. Inside is a massive darrk ride which tells the entire story of mankind, from our humble beginnings, to the promise of the future.

This layout is more correct. The globe is surrouned by two wave like structures, which i havent yet given a purpose, besides serving as a gateway into future world. Future world is split up into 6 pavilions.
Communication
transportation
energy
health
space
and land

and the World area is split up into 4(or 5??) continents. With a possible variation or movement of soarin around the world as the host pavilion.

The rest is still to be designed. its a big project. Theres a lot to it, but in thw words of EPCOT itself, "If we can dream it, we really can do it!"
