News Paradise Pier Becoming Pixar Pier

I can't stand these comments you come across:

"For what time and money they had, it is good"

That is not an excuse; this is not the Disney quality people expect.

Is it? Are expectations being lowered over the years?

It's better than superstar limo. It is at least fun. If the incredicoaster was a dark ride, however, with the same flaws, then it would be worse than superstar limo.

Wait, this is the cookie stand? Where's the giant Jack Jack eating a cookie on top? What happened? How much of the budget was cut for Pixar Pier? I don't understand. It was already dirt cheap to begin with. This is so pathetic. Everything about this is laughable. How does one file a complaint about the park at the Chamber of Commerce? Do you just go in and tell the CM you have a complaint about the park? I'm going to do it. Gosh, this entire pier is a disgrace.

My theory is that the jack jack ended up being too big and was used for the finale instead.

The line for the coaster was all the way into the WOC viewing area at open so... And the cookie stand had a line to the bathrooms.

People eat this stuff up :(

No kidding...

It'll be back to 25 by August. The shill vloggers and millennial APs have to get their rides in now, though, so they can be first.

I'm going to guess its more than just vloggers and Millenials riding these rides. I don't get all the insults people use here as if these people are evil for going to the parks. And how many 'shill vloggers' are out there exactly? On youtube I only know six of them, and probably only three of them are really popular. Again that I know of.

Strange to see that on Micechat. Those forums have a few posters that are ridiculous. Hate literally everything Disney does, spewing the same "Eisner ruined Disney and Iger is a soulless twat" nonsense day in and day out for the last decade. Definitely ruins it for the whole bunch. They'll pester people who disagree with them, deriding anyone who praises Disney as a shill and some kind of lesser fan. Which, in turn, causes anyone who actually enjoys the park to leave.

But yeah, we're the snobs. :angelic:

Oddly enough, I joined this site because I am getting more and more sick of those people over there. Its like its almost immoral to say you enjoy the parks today by a few. Some really need to step back and get a grip.

Yes
Seeing Pixar Pier makes you really realize just how much worse Mission Breakout would've been if not for Rohde. Still sucks, obviously, but at least Rocket moves.

Pixar Pier makes Mission: Breakout look like a DisneySea attraction. For a company that prides itself for it’s animation it’s shocking how lifeless they made that area.

I believe the name should be Disney Adventure. Or maybe something else that has a ring to it.

People have been proposing that name for a decade now. But because it just makes sense at this point. It just dawned on me the other day not only has one of the remaining rides has now lost its 'California' title (in this case California Screamin) but yes the entire boardwalk has now been turned into just another fantasy area that can be anywhere. In fact Disney has gone out of their to eliminate the biggest rides with the California theme in the last two years: Soarin Over California, TOT and now CS.

AFAIK the rapids ride and obviously RCT are the only ones left with the actual California theme intact. I don't get why they basically eliminated nearly ride with it if they keep calling the park DCA? I never really cared about the theme itself but at least have some consistency if that's what you're going to call it. Maybe just maybe though when Marvel land shows up there will be a name change. Its making more sense to do it. Its not like this will be the first time since both DLP and DHS had very different names at one point. And no one under 30 even knows what EPCOT actually stand for unless they look it up online.

I wonder with the night reviews Disney will be forced to keep the ride open during WOC now.

IIRC they do open the ride between WOC shows and when the park is open to 11 they reopen it for the rest of the night anyway. I don't think it will ever stay open during WOC itself because the screams do travel and could impact the show.
