Am I missing something? Not to long ago, you could go onto the Disney website and pull down a calendar with park hours and parade times on it.

Is this something they discontinued OR am I just looking in the wrong place. I found the park hours BUT cannot locate the parade/Fantasmic/Spectro times.

Anyone know whats going on?

Ok, I swear on my mouse ears that I am not taking any type of pain killers. I am working 15 to 18 hour days, but that should not affect my ability to locate this page - which I could NOT this morning.

Thanks for helping me out bgraham34:o

I'm off to hide my embarassed self.:hammer:

The link above is for WDW through the Great Britian site - not the America site. If you go through the America site, the calendar does not work - or is in the process of being updated. You can get the same info from the GB site. You're not going crazy...:ROFLOL:

Pioneering the Universe Within!
Their official website is appallingly bad and uninformative, and whomever designed it deserves to lose their job and be banished to It's A Small World for all eternity.

I just checked the site and it appeared to be working as it always has to me.

Really? You can actually access the daily schedule from the calander? I can get as far as the park hours... when you click on any day (even today's date) the daily schedule has no events, parades, etc. It has been that way from the first day. After three emails to Disney, they reassure me that they are working on it.

Thank goodness there is a link on this site to the old calander so that some of us can plan our trips and make ADR's

I was having the same problem and I broke down and ask the mom's panel. It was pretty much what I thought that it is just not ready yet. I really like the site appearance and functions but I can't believe that Disney released it when it still has sooo many problems to resolve. Here is my actual question and the reponse from the panel:

- Asked by Bill from OH on 1/21/2009

I love the new Disney World website but I am having trouble finding some key items that used to be shown on the calendar.I cannot find the operational updates or when certain shows will be shown (Fantasmic, Illumination, Parades, etc). Can you help me?

Parades & Special Events Hi, William,

With the transition to the new www.disneyworld.com, there have been a few bugs that are still being worked out. The new look of the site is fabulous, and once all the operations are working correctly, I think we will all be huge fans of it!

However, it is a bit frustrating trying to get the information needed at the moment.

Keep checking back to the website. To get what you are looking for (hours, parades, fireworks, etc.) you will go to the home page, click the DISCOVER tab across the top, pick your park from the left column, then scroll down to CALENDAR. Right now, all that is showing up is a blank calendar, but hopefully VERY soon you will have all the information you will need for you magical vacation!

Thanks for your question. Sorry I couldn't get your information for you needed, but keep checking the site.

OK - not so embarassed now.

Very happy to hear I was not the only one who could not locate the calendar on the US site. Got some of what I needed from the UK site, but am patiently awaiting the information I need as well in order to determine which parks and which ADR's will be made for our trip.

I went, I clicked, it worked.

Yes, it showed the times to the parades, nightly fireworks, etc.

BUT, I can't get it to work anymore. I can only access it up to the same point as you. Maybe I had it cached or something, I dunno.

<cough cough>

Conspiricy hat on...

Perhaps the lack of Fireworks/Parades/Show times are a result of the current situation with Fantasmic. If you announce your plans for let's say Illuminations at 9:00 six months in advance and then need to make changes, it stirs up a bunch of controversy.

Now, if you redesign the website and simply adopt a policy of only posting showtimes on the weekly/monthly handouts you offer when you get to the parks... you can change your plans as the economy suits.

PS - I REALLY hope that this is not why this information is not on the website; but, I fear that its oversight is intentional.

In the I'm keeping positive column - I can say that Disney's website has always been awful and this type of oversight is a byproduct of their previous ways.

In the I'm fearful column - Go try finding what attractions are down for refurb on the current site. Hmm... can't find those either.
