From the 5th it's $ 25 plus tip! Hope they make that clear!

Yes they have to pay for the Msgic dry dock somehow, hope they do make it clear re the tip, my notification said $25 plus tip. Look on the bright side, us platinum cruisers now get a $25 free meal!

So no part of the upcharge applies to the tip anymore? That's fine by me since we always do an additional gratuity. Just wanna be sure I tip enough. Even at $25 pp, I still think Palo is well worth it and then some. That's just me. 
Well the email I had was plus tip, now I have always done that but actions were confusing the website implied tip included, if you call they give various answers but on ship your given a slip with a space if additional tip and they only do that on tip able positions.
Our server at Palo told us that there was a gratuity included and we were not required to tip on top of that, but we could if we wanted. He said it more elegantly than I just did (and he got an additional tip, he was wonderful). So, if that part is no longer included, than that's an even bigger increase!! I wonder how long until they then add an automatic gratuity of 10 $ or so per person on top of that...

I do not think it will ever be automatic some people do really tip well there so it's swings and roundabouts if they set an automatic one it can cause a reduction in income as big tippers tip less.

I was thinking more of the, "I'll have the antipasta, the salad, the bread, the main course, the soufflé, oh yeah, and a Diet Coke".
