Paint the night is not moving to Disney World. Stop bumping this.

I know I'm alone but in scope I think the other parades were better designed. That's not to mean PTN is bad or not impressive. But I've stated this already so that's beating a dead horse and I haven't seen it in person so that opinion will likely change. Not everything will always appeal to everyone, doesn't mean it's bad.

Warning, this is coming from a person who saw MSEP two years ago for the first time, after growing up with Spectromagic and seeing PTN before MSEP.

PTN is incredible, as said above the floats are huge and amazing. A fact everyone seems to gloss over though is the dancers, nearly every section has a group of dancers who are lit up in interesting ways and do some impressive choreography, my personal favorites are Jesse and her yo-yo cowgirls, followed closely by the dancing dashboards. No other parade I've seen has this and it adds incredible energy to the whole event making it seem like a party. It is a fantastic parade.

I will always love Spectro, but PTN is a better parade. The biggest thing I miss from that parade is the music. The waltz just made the parade incredibly regal and made the MK feel so magical, I really hope the new parade in the MK tries to match that vibe as opposed to the party atmosphere of PTN. A party atmosphere fits DL and SoCal but I don't think it will translate as well in Florida where most of the guests are tourists taking the most expensive trip of their lives.

MSEP is a beautiful parade and the music is a Disney Classic, but from the basic Christmas lights, the pastel costumes on the characters and the movie choices it screams 70s. It is time to retire this parade.

Right now, any option is better than what WDW currently has for a nighttime parade. Sad.

I really hope the next WDW exclusive parade won't be screwed up or take the PTN approach. Sure PTN is better than Spectro but it's going to be a touch act to follow for WDW fans.

I do enjoy PTN but it feels short for some reason.

I just like that Spectro/MSEP/Dreamlights have a lot more floats. I'm just being greedy in wanting PTN to have more than it does. I'm not trying to 'hate on it'.

But like I said I feel like they're designing the night parades like the daytime parades now, where there are just a handful of well-done floats and a catchy soundtrack that gets changed out in 5-10 years time. I'm assuming. Maybe not.

While I'd love for a new (or recycled - I'm not picky for a person who goes to the park every two months) parade, I genuinely don't think we'll hear a peep from anyone about anything until 'Happily Ever After' debuts in May - heck, TDO will probably ride the Honeymoon period on that for at least four or five months. They'll want to milk that evening cow as long as they can.

So if MSEP is popular, and Paint the Night apparently scores so well ... what's their plan, why can't they say when PTN is returning? Did they run into anything while refurbing it?

I think they are having problems with Paint the Night. The costumes aren't reliable and the performers are having difficulties seeing and moving with them.

A friend who works for Disneyland also said the MSEP was more popular than they thought it would be, and thus to capitalize on this popularity and to allow more time to fix and refurb PtN, they are extending MSEP.

Is it not amazing that the pre iger Disney could create parade systems which lasted for decades.

Yet Todays Disney cant build a parade which lasts 5 years. Guess that front office directive on using cheapest materials possible ...
