This phenomenon is truly amazing. There's no parade on the schedule, and yet each night thousands of people sit on the curbs of the Magic Kingdom to wait. It's symbolic of something. Not sure what.
Probably because WDW guests usually associated WDW because of how used to them having a daily electrical parade. But since MSEP is no longer at WDW they are still expecting the parade to return in the future unaware that it might be it's final run at DL. In other words, WDW guests aren't used to being at MK at night without a nighttime parade.

Welp this week is gonna tell if Ptn is staying or leaving DL
Did you hear that from someone? Or are you just guessing? We know DL has had rain threats since before Thurs so IDK how this week will pan out numbers wise...and with more rain coming, might not be the best week to look at the numbers. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the return of RDCT can only help MSEP. Esp if it's at DL Forever standards. That starts Feb 3rd. The weather might be better then too.

Not a good excuse for TDO's cheapness. Hell, the entire 6 years the Parade was here, they never bothered to change the drum on the first float from Disney's Electrical Parade (It's name for it's DCA run) to Main Street Electrical Parade. It only finally happened when it returned to Disneyland.
Drum float name aside, the parade was in the worst shape of any of the multiple parades that ran in that period of time by far. Yes, TDO maintenance track record has been checkered, but they're not fully responsible how these floats have aged. Basically what I'm saying is that what happened to the floats was natural aging that I wouldn't expect the best maintenance in the world to fully get a hold of.

Take out the Cars unit and I can maybe get onboard. But that doesn't solve the soundtrack problem

The Cars floats are the only ones I don't like. They Mack just seems too overwhelming and there's something about automobiles that to me seems out of place with the other floats. If Mack is truly an issue in terms of his size and MK, I'd be happy if that unit would be replaced by some other concept (if PTN actually was shipped to WDW, which I am skeptical about).

That said, about the music....

But that's totally subjective. I adore the soundtrack.

I too rather enjoy the music for PTN. I love Baroque Hoedown and that it is still used, but When Can I See You Again is a fun backbone to the music and really fits with the festive atmosphere of the parade IMHO.

Then again, I'm one of the apparently rare people on here who didn't really care much for Spectromagic.

I prefer the modern take that Dreamlights gives

I'm fine with this as well.

I have yet to see a parade that truly fits the aesthetic of the parade route.. but I never really thought parades needed to. They come and go so quickly, and everything is back as it was once it is over.

This to me seems like one of the odder complaints that people have had. Any parade with automated floats and bright lights is going to seem out of place in turn of the century Main Street or even older Frontierland. I think it comes down to personal taste more (and if people don't like PTN, that's cool) and then using "out of place in a castle park" and just an excuse to justify one's preference.

Well at least TDO didn't treat it was bad as Paris did for MSEP in the early 2000s
