I haven't seen it in person yet, but I was facetiming with my friend while she was there last week and it literally looked like there were gonna hit her. She had a great spot on the street and it literally looked like they were coming for her lol. The only reason I asked was because I can't see them bringing it to WDW and then cutting floats because of the turns.
Its a legit fear when watching this parade from the front row.

I know you probably can't share more details, but I really wish you could share more details.
I will share I think whoever allowed a press release to go out without a good answer on replacing the MK's nighttime entertainment should probably not be approving press. That then causes memos to be hastily written to go to Guest Relations like the one posted above that have zero information and read like they are insulting the intelligence of Disney's guests and put the front line cast in a terrible position with bad talking points that are nonsense. Poorly handled.

MK will not be without for too long. They really don't handle these announcements well.

Fair enough. But at this point, what Disney press release isn't poorly handled?

Wow I wonder why Disney chose not to bring Spectro back. :/
Because despite the rumor of it rotting. It had to do with how expensive it was to refurb the entire parade. So instead TDO decided to discontinue it. If they didn't trash it and kept it much longer back stage for few years then it would had been the best time to refurb it. Especially after knowing how much money Frozen since late 2013.

The original plan was for MSEP to return at WDW for the Summer of 2010 and Spectromagic to return after MSEP ended that summer. However they kept MSEP longer then they thought and Spectromagic was never brought back.

Here's how hyped and excited the guests were back when Spectromagic was brand new circa 1992.

Please, that video is too depressing. What Disney did to Spectromagic was criminal and easily one of the worst decisions in MK history. I know MSEP has an important place in Disney history, but they should've destroyed every version of it in the 1990's

If they send DreamLights from TDL to WDW I will be flabbergasted. I don't know a better word for it than that. I see no scenario where TDL gives that up, even for PTN. Since they're only licensing the Disney brand, they aren't beholden to Burbank (another reason their stuff is so good - they aren't subject to Iger's machete) and thus don't have to send the parade if they don't want to send it. With the record WDW has with parade maintenance, if I'm TDL there's no way I'm agreeing to send them DreamLights.
Alot of guests would have had there minds blown by how amazing Dreamlights is. It's one of those parades you really need to see in person even more so during the Christmas season.

before Spectro returned in 2001, Walt Disney World was originally tapped to debut Dreamlights but they decided to refurb Spectro instead.

they'd probably even MORE minblown by the refurb Dreamlights got last year. The new version of the Peter Pan Ship, O...M...G it is STUNNING and puts the 31 year old version currently in Florida to shame.

Q4. Are you replacing Main Street Electrical Parade with anything?

We continue to offer compelling nighttime entertainment, and are constantly adjusting our offerings.
This just says it all. What kind of reponse is, well we are constantly adjusting our offerings, so we may have a parade, we may not.

Also, although Toyko is owned and operated by themselves and not Disney, do they have to get Disney's okay when creating a new attraction or anything? Kinda like to uphold character standards? Or are they just free to do as they wish

do we switch stuff with tokyo? since disney doesn't officially own it?

I mean, without seeing the licensing contract I couldn't answer this in full, but in sure there's a mechanism for it that's avaliable. Just because it hasn't happened doesn't mean it can't. But, I've only seen one mention of this and I just don't see it happening. I hope to be wrong.

I think thats what was one of the reasons we most likely wouldn't get DreamLights? Because Burbank can't force TDL to give up DreamLights?

Exactly. They can't force them. Now, they could bribe them, but I don't know if PTN is enough of a bribe. It's new and shiny, but DreamLights it ain't.
