Paint the night is not moving to Disney World. Stop bumping this.

They sure do, Unless they are freaking deaf and can't hear anything because on mainstreet when the msep music ended for the very last time almost the whole main street was singing "On this magic night"
I really loved that song. It really fit the night atmosphere.

Not to mention the amazing Small World finale and the Drum Float. Dreamlights is the only Disney electrical parade that I really love that is on par with Spectromagic.

Just returned from TDL and absolutely awed by Dreamlights! I love MSEP, but Dreamlights made it look like something rigged up in a backyard with chicken wire and leftover Christmas tree lights. I didn't know that Dreamlights had the same music...and when it started, I was very excited to hear it again, live. It was the highlight of the night.

The DL faithful might disagree with me, but I hated PTN. Nothing—NOTHING—about that parade impressed or enchanted me. The floats are rolling video screens. Many of the costumes aren't illuminated; the performers just have spotlights on them. (To be honest, some of the walking performers have cool costumes, but it's nothing you haven't seen before.)

MSEP Dreamlights, on the other hand, made me feel the same as Spectro or MSEP. It was like being inside a Disney dream, no pun intended.

I tried saying the same thing a while back and was "schooled" on why it was better. I know I need to see it person but no thanks. I want something on the scale of MSEP/Spectro or Dreamlights. I know I can't judge something by a video, I try not to do that, and the parade is fine, but again, no thanks. Glad to see I'm not actually alone.

After what I just heard from a call, I doubt DL will have paint the night for the holidays and I am willing to bet money on that.

Didn't hear that but a few weeks ago I heard that WDW executives are still not stopping until they win that parade...

If WDW wants PTN they could, oh, I don't know…BUILD THEIR OWN VERSION.

Sorry, but their cheapness amazes me. Also, if you have solid info, it would be nice if you passed on more than just tidbits. A little solid info would be nice if you're gonna keep reviving this thread.

Surprise the current MSEP music actually came from Dreamlights (Mainly the first half) while the rest is original while some of the float music would later get reused.

Now I wouldn't call them cheap, WDW has tons of projects going on than the Disneyland Resort and it's costing them alot to Remake HWS, Try to over-haul epcot and at the same time finishing pandora. Also keep in mind WDW has 4 parks and 2 water parks and they have a almost the same but a little higher budget than Disneyland CA

Most of it was.

But the TTA decor is still rusting. Magnet covers are still smashed. Buzz's queue is still a mess.

And Space Mountain is still a travesty.
It is still maintained physically? or are they facing another disneyland?

or worse.. THEY are expecting a Disneyland scenario so they are FORCED to replace the entire thing?

...After a decade+ of neglect. And the ODT isn't behind all the spending, Iger and Co. are.
