It sure has been a good week for nighttime entertainment for WDW.

I was just discussing with my wife about how much the night time entertainment offerings will have changed since our last trip in March 2015 to our upcoming trip in August 2017... I mean, between those two trips, only two night time shows will be the same (Illuminations and Fantasmic). Two will have been replaced with brand new shows (Celebrate to Once and Wishes to Happily) and three will be brand new shows where shows were not there before (to us) (Tree of Life Awakening, Rivers of Light, and Star Wars). And on top of that, have to wonder if we'll still see changes to Illuminations (drones) or Fantasmic (any of the changes they're introducing at Disneyland when their's reopens)... you could add another if you count "Pandora at Night"... certainly lots of reasons to stay in the parks late...

Dont count your chickens yet.
My concern is how much will have been slapped together hastily. That kind of strategy produced a technologically-advanced but unpolished Star Wars fireworks. It's an inherently unfair judgment as Universal routinely slaps together crappy nighttime shows, but Disney is known for excelling at this. Let's hope they find success with HEA.
