Paint the night is not moving to Disney World. Stop bumping this.

I will say, I do find it odd that DisneyAuditions.com is currently listing 4 auditions in cities other than Orlando specifically for Parade Performers at WDW. WDW just lost a parade, and those CMs lost a lot of hours because of it. Auditioning in multiple cities isn't unheard of, of course. However, from what I've seen, they usually will do this either when they're casting for seasonal offerings or a brand new offering. With the auditions happening in November, they definitely wouldn't be auditioning for Halloween/Christmas, and y'all keep saying there's no new parade so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Okay, that's all. I'm logging off again.

Disney has casting in Athens & Thessaloniki, Greece and it states its for Disneyland Paris. MSEP casting for DL in Anaheim. The couple auditions for WDW state that their auditioning for " Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade; Move it, Shake it, Dance & Play it!; and The Festival of the Lion King.". As the insiders have stated, we're not getting a new parade. And the DLP auditions state that its for their new offerings. If the audition was for something new it would state it.

And I'm assuming no chance of Fantillusion being sent to WDW?

It's wrong to assume that Fantillusion is in a condition where it could be sent anywhere. That's if it still exists as we know it.

But again, and just in case new people stumble onto this thread and don't want to read back to get the scoop - WDW will be without a light parade indefinitely. No existing parades (Paint the Night, Dreamlights, Fantillusion, WDW's original MSEP) will be shipped to it to fill the MSEP void. WDW's next light parade will be a new one, and that design is awaiting funding. That funding could come next year, or it could come in 2021. It seems likely that FOF will start running after dark with route lighting (like Boo to You) in 2017.

Fair enough. The dragon at night would be cool? Do you think it will be an immediate FoF at night thing (Jan/Feb 17) or are we thinking Spring-ish?

If you can elaborate what do you mean by as it stands it won't?
It's a purchased parade. TDO would have to physically pay EDLSCA for it and for the shipping.

And then rewire and refit all the electrical system. When it arrived in Paris it was found to be built to a OLC spec electrical standard and had to be refitted for Europe. Kind of a non standard work around that again would need changing for another market.

But behold:

@marni1971 that makes sense. At that point with having to re wire and all that it might not even make financial sense. Probably have a better chance of getting a whole new parade.

Also that is a pretty awesome parade. But who's surprised - it's a TDL and OLC production.

I'm surprised it only lasted 6 years in TDL/OLC then went back to the EP idea, now with no end in sight I've always thought FANTI was a step up from Spectro and DL should have followed in 1997 instead of LM.

And most of the floats from the original Tokyo version never returned and the parade was much longer before it went to Paris.

Fantillusion would be a perfect fit. And believe me it's anything but outdated.

But as it stands it won't.

May not be outdated compared to MSEP, maybe even Spectromagic, but it never was upgraded to LEDs correct? Should TDO ever decide to purchase it, I would assume at that point they would upgrade to LED since everything would need to rewired anyway.

Should WDW get Fantillusion I don't know what, if any, impact that would have on Fantasmic.
