Paint the night is not moving to Disney World. Stop bumping this.

Because a lot of us didn't like the parade to begin with so we're just glad to see it gone. I'm speaking for myself but I know there's many others who didn't like it either
And most of the hate with MSEP over the years might have to do with MSEP over staying it's welcome at WDW for the third time.

I remember MSEP was originally going to be at WDW in Summer 2010 while Spectromagic was going to get a major upgrade.

Me personally I just really really don't like the music. I also think the parade shows its age technology wise and with the floats. I'm not saying they need to shove Frozen & Star Wars down our throats but just that up until this year most people probably didn't know who the Pete was other than that big green dragon.

The audience reaction was alot more excited that's for sure.
Yep, happened to notice that during a livestream! Sad to see it go although I never saw it in person...
On the bright side of things, let's look to the future. Hopefully there's a new parade in the works that could "very well" be announced at D23's Destination D event in November! Cross your fingers and keep your ears pealed, the hype train could be pulling out the station whether we approve or not!

On the other hand for those that will miss the parade deeply and sadly, I feel your pain and understand that this is the 2nd time WDW is without a nighttime parade (well that might be the case for now). A little quote might cheer you up:
“There’s a trick to the 'graceful exit.' It begins with the vision to recognize when a job, a life stage, or a relationship is over — and let it go. It means leaving what’s over without denying its validity or its past importance to our lives. It involves a sense of future, a belief that every exit line is an entry, that we are moving up, rather than out.”

Awwwww....

I'm in the minority but I'm really gonna miss it. Loved the quaintness.
I doubt you're in the minority. If we were getting either a new parade or refurbished Spectromagic (or a hand-me-down of Dreamlights or Fantillusion), then i'd probably not miss it. But considering we're not currently scheduled to have any sort of substitute (not that we know of until the 50th anyways), yeah i'll miss it and I think most would probably agree. It's far better than nothing, even in its unquestionably poor and outdated condition.

Now we know how Disneyland felt with how long they had to wait for a new electrical parade.
