I'm in the process of packing for my trip, but I keep thinking I'm forgetting something. Does anyone have a packing list?

It MIGHT be a girl thing, but many, many times my husbands said "Did you bring the (whatever he needs)" He depends on me to do it for him *rolls eyes*. Maybe it's not just my husband who does that, it might be a GUY thing :zipit: Woops, did I just say that? :animwink:

Just teasing :p

Mine too! Except mine takes it a step further.....he complains that it takes me so long to pack and why am I taking so much and blah, blah, blah. Then, 30 min. from home he's..."Oh my gosh! Did you bring my (fill in the blank, usually something obvious like socks!)." Anyway, I have a question for Tink: Why an extention cord???
I also want to add to the packing list a very important thing: insect repellent. Those dang Florida bugs will eat you alive! Also, if you will be doing your laundry, bring detergent, it's cheaper than the coin machine boxes. Also, e-mail addresses and snail mail addresses of friends and stamps. All PS confirmation numbers for character breakfasts that are before official park opening or they will not let you in. Advil, Sudafed, travel pills, any other med you might need.

Oh my Gosh, Tink!!! I thought I was the only one!!! We still have Mickey soap from the last visit, because I kept hiding the soap every day we were there so the housekeeper would have to leave a new one every day!, LOL!

My dad does the exact same thing! He says he packs in a minute, but... makes my mom real mad too when he insists on sharing a suitcase with her! He once got upset because he didn´t pack his swimsuit when going to the beach and expected my mom to pack it... And he gives us chit for packing a lot and then he asks for everything! men!;)

that's what we are doing for breakfast... bringing r own cereal, disposable spoons & bowls and taking advantage of the 15 min. limo grocery shop to buy milk... and oj and also a syrofoam cooler to fill ice when we get to po .when we are done with the cooler we will just throw it away... I thought i was the only one doing this! in fact we are going to bring a small suitcase filled with the kids favorite snacks for their snack attacks which are about every 1-2 hrs... they rather snack all day then sit down to a meal!! they will each carry a small pack filled with their treats...

tink; i went to wal-mart today and couldn't find any insulated bottler covers but will try Walgreens tomorrow... maybe they just haven't gotten them out yet.

We are doing the same exact thing. The boys will each have their own packs that I plan on filling with all sorts of goodies bought at home. We are also doing the cereal & pop tarts for breakfast. We are also bringing are own water bottles along with lots of juice boxes. You could freeze some of the juice boxes so they will be defrosted and nice and cold for the afternoon. I also went to the local Disney store and purchased some pins for trading (figured they would probably be cheaper at home) and some cool Disney pens for getting autographs. I tried to find the autograph books but no place seems to sell them except the parks. Oops, almost forgot, babywipes for sticky faces and hands and mini flashlights for dark rides. 13 days and counting until we are on the road to Disney!!!!!:) P.S. I also have quite a collection of Disney toiletries!!:)

We try to pack as light as possible but it doesn't mean we travel light! 2 pair of shoes x 5 people; 7 pr. socks x 5 people etc. etc. adds up. One good thing is while I pack for the trip; my husband takes time out during our trip and will go do laundry so I don't have 3 days worth of washing when we get home. As soon as we get to our room we unpack, chill out for a little while, then go to Walmart in Kissimee and get snacks, drinks, beer, sandwich meat etc. for the week. We always go back to our room around 1 pm and eat lunch. Just saving that expense helps out alot and it gives the boys a chance to rest. Then we head back out around 3 or 4 and spend the rest of the day in the parks. Luckily, since we drive, we can bring a 120 qt. ice chest which holds all of our cold stuff.
One thing we can't forget for our trip is liquid Dramamine; my seven year old gets car sick.:(
As far as makeup and toiletries are concerned; I take alot 'cos when I am on vacation at WDW; my face will always be polished. And my hair is always done. I'm there to relax and I feel better about myself when I am all done up; complete with Mickey earrings!

I'm really glad you mentioned this, on trips longer than an hour we have to worry about our 8 year old :hurl: so I will make sure to buy some before we leave the house. I don't think she'll make it 20 hours if we don't.:)

Don't forget to pack some GUM. They don't sell it on property. But be sure to throw it away in the trash, NOT on the ground for someone to step in.

We always have to pack pepto, we eat a LOT more junk food while we are there.:slurp:

Funny you should mention that. My kids are crazy about gum, but I hate it. I am sooooooo glad they don't sell it on property, and I look forward to 12 days with no gum!!! I wouldn't recommend people pack it though. It rots your teeth, and little kids always seem to spit it out on the floor, after which the parents do not bend down and pick it up. It makes the CM cleaning jobs much harder. You don't need gum to live, so just skip it for a few days. No big deal, IMO :animwink:

Gum is not sold in Cuba either. I think Fidel is very clever on that one! I´m not sure of his reasons though.... my mom used to tell me that it was so they didn´t get cavities! (I think she was fooling me, but who knows, might be a reason) lol ;)
When my parents went there, they always carried packages with gum with them, because cubans asked them for "chicles". ;)

That's right... when I went there to visit my relatives there (don't ask... I went to hell and back just to get there) I brought w/ me a HUGE pack of ice breakers gum, and everyone wanted some.. EVERYONE

Okay, a few hints about packing from a...(GASP)... man!

This year we are taking a surge suppressor strip. With all the rechargable devices we are taking, this will come in handy at night. We also take a noise maker (makes a "white noise", like a muffled fan). Since I work shift work, I started using one years ago to help sleep during the day. Now my wife can't sleep without it! It helps to muffle out "hallway" noises at night.

If we think we are going to be riding any REALLY wet rides, we bring an extra small towel, and extra socks. Wet socks can wipe out feet in minutes...we found this out a couple of years ago, the hard way.

Oh, yes, I always pack waterproof mascara. WAIT...I mean, uh, my wife does.:animwink:
