package 2008

I saw a thread while ago where someone mentioned getting a good discount code for 2008, but someone must have deleted the thread for some reason. I remember commenting how I missed it by one day, since I check in on April 13 and one of the dates for the code was some day in March through April 12.

I don't know who deleted the thread and why, but it's gone. :shrug:

Yes, it has been deleted. I have PM'd Steve with my apologies and for clarification ... I did not know that codes could not be posted, even though I checked the forum rules.

I didn't know either, but I guess that explains why it's gone. And I can now rest easy knowing that I didn't dream the whole thing or something. :lol:

I'm getting a lot of PMs on this, so here is what I think I can post without getting into any trouble.

There are two 30% off PIN codes out, one for the base MYW package and one for MYW package plus dining. The dates seem to correspond to the Wonderful Weeks of Disney.

If I cannot post this general information, then please accept my apologies and delete this reply.

I used this same code on my regular MYW package with park hoppers- saved $350. But, it was not 30% of my package cost. Happy dancing anyway!!!:sohappy:

At this time, no General Public Discount Codes have been released for 2008 travel dates.

There have been some Direct Mail PIN Offers randomly sent out to Guests but these can only be used specifically by the Guest who receives the offer. This may be what the OP was referring to. An internal code may be inadvertently listed on the Guest's confirmation, but this is not a valid package code.

Disney will randomly send Direct Mail PIN Offers to our Guests by E-mail or Postal Mail. The offer will not include a package code, but will include a PIN number with a reminder for the Guest to mention their PIN when calling.

PIN Offers are not transferable and may only be used by the Guest who received the offer. The Guest's name and address must match the information associated with the PIN offer sent to be eligible to book the offer. Eligible Guests may book up to 3 rooms with these offers based on availability but must they must be staying in one of the rooms.

Guest who attempt to transfer these offers to others may be permanently removed from receiving any future PIN offers.

Like all discount offers the number of rooms allocated to these offers is very limited.

So what if we book through Kingdom Konsultants? They say that they automatically apply any codes that may come up so we don't have to mess with doing it. So, for example, if I were to be one of the lucky ones who randomly receives a code, would they send it to me or to Kingdom Konsultants? Would KK automatically know about that one, or would it be my responsibility to take advantage of that code?

All Direct Mail PIN offers are sent directly to our Guests and not to Travel Agencies.

You would need to provide your PIN number and household information (name & address) from the email or direct mail you received to your Travel Agent, who would then book your vacation on your behalf. Your Travel Agent would not be able to know if you received an offer unless you provide that information to them.

Interesting ... when I called, I just asked very sweetly if I could apply the PIN code I was told about elsewhere. The CM checked, compared prices for me, did everything in her power to "get me some magic". She was just as excited as I was and seemed so pleased that I was able to save some mega money on the trip. She didn't ask where I received the PIN or anything. She was just great. I'm thinking I had the PIN code all along and just never received the e-mail (my e-mail in the system was wrong for a looong time, even though everytime I called they would correct it).
