I really wouldn't count on being able to purchase these from Disney through mail order.

I also don't believe that this can be considered a money grab by Disney. It's a limited edition series and a total of 12-18 (max) will be in the series. Its much more a great commercial and PR event than it is for money...plus, just very possibly, passing on the cynicism for a moment, the idea was developed by an artist who liked the idea of this sort of memento for her or himself.
Then again, it won't be bad money, say they go for $15 with $10 profit (I know I'm being conservative), so 25000 per pin x 12 = 300,000. OK, so I wouldn't mind having that, but you figure they make the same for any number of other series and LE pins, so the extra work involved doesn't justify the cost.
I think we should just enjoy this one, I am looking forward to owning my piece or two...not for personal profit or any of that stuff, it will stay home for me to enjoy.
