I have been to Disney 6 times. We always stayed off property and as far as eating, where ever we were we would just find a place to eat. Next year we will be staying at Disney for 6 days (still deciding between Pop and POR) and will be doing the ddp. My party consists of myself and my dd10. My friend and her sister will be going. We have a couple of ideas of dinnershows we want to do as a party of 4 (aloha and HDDR). Most of our meals will be just myself and my daughter since our choices will most likely be different. I have ideas of other restaurants I would like to do but I am looking for tips as far as making choices that would best fit with each park. Thanks for any helpful tips!

Well what kind of food do you like?
If we here at WDW magic knew what your likes and dislikes are we would have a better idea on how to help.

Well here is a small list of TS and CS restaurants you may want to consider:

MK - Tony's Town Square (TS Italian),
Columbia Harbour House (CS), Tomorrowland Terrace (CS Dinner Asian Food)

Epcot - Coral Reef (TS Seafood), La Hacienda de San Angel (TS Mexican ), Teppan Edo (TS Japanese), Sunshine Seasons (CS), Tangierine Cafe (CS Moroccan)

DHS - 50's Prime Time Cafe (TS Home Cooking) Mama Melrose's (TS Italian), Backlot Express (CS), Starring Rolls (CS)

DAK - Tusker House (TS African) Yak & Yeti (TS Asian), Flame Tree Barbecue (CS), Yak & Yeti Local Foods (CS Asian)

DTD - Raglan Road (TS Irish), Paradiso 37 (TS South Western), Cookes of Dublin (CS), Earl of Sandwich (CS)

Resorts - Beaches & Cream (TS Americana), Boatwrights Dining Hall (TS Cajun/Southern ), Whispering Canyon (TS I think your 10yr old will like it @ WL ), Pepper Market (CS @ CSR), Everything Pop (CS @ Pop)

I'm sure more suggestions are on the way!

Making choices on what to eat is always the hardest and the most fun!! I will add Chef Mickey at the Contemporary, Capitan N Jacks and Raglan Road at Downtown Disney and Via Napoli in Epcot! A good way to help pick what you want is to take a look at the menus. They are listed here on this site. You can also go direct to the Disney site for a PDF of most of the actual menus and allears.net also has a list of them. Have fun and you and your DD read over them and choose that way!!!! Planning is half the fun of the WDW vacation. Good Luck!!

We have stayed at POP & POR. POP is a good value resort, but we prefer POR. It is scenic & quiet & there is more to do.

Hoop Dee Doo Revue is great!...I highly recommend it!...Lots of fun!!! :D

Suggestions:

MK
Crystal Palace for breakfast, lunch, or dinner
CRT for breakfast
Epcot
Princess Storybook for breakfast or dinner
The World Showcase has some nice restaurants - we are trying our first one on our next trip.
DHS
Hollywood & Vine for dinner w/ Fantasmic Pkg.
AK
Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House
Grand Floridian Resort
1900 Park Fare for breakfast or dinner
Polynesian Resort
Ohana for breakfast or dinner
Wilderness Lodge
Whispering Canyon
Contemporary Resort
Chef Mickey's for breakfast or dinner

Wow! Looks like a perfect Disney line-up! The only other I would suggest is 1900 Park Fare at GF. It's with Cinderella, Pricne Charming, step mother and sisters. Buffet and way cheaper than CRT, just another option. Nice work and enjoy!!

are you on the Delux plan??? That is what we always do and i find that we in no way want to or ever eat 3 meals a day. By the mid part of the trip you will stuffed. What we tend to do is use the snack credits for a bagel and juice for breakfast and do lunch and dinner or do a big breakfast, then snack for lunch and do a dinner. Most of our dinners are 2 credit TS. Which helps us all our credits. I would just hate for you have lots of credits left over at the end of your trip when you cancel some ADR's because you also find that you cant do 3 full meals a day. You might be able to down grade the dining plan and save yourself some money. Good Luck

yes we are on the deluxe plan. We aren't big breakfast eaters but was doing tusker house and Crysital palace to get into the parks early. I find it to be overwhelming trying to pick out all these meals without jumping on transportation and taking time from exploring the parks. Like I said, this
will be our first time on property and the dining plan so I hope I can relax a little!!

We loved Pop when we stayed there 2 weeks ago, but if you stay at POR, you might want to talk a walk over to POFQ to try the beignets. I've heard they're great and would love to try them myself sometime.
