Yes, but the joke (and reference MasterYoda made) is because someone actually tried. :) But I think it was Disneyland, not WDW, wasn't it?
Not sure but either way Disney handled it beautifully if the story is correct. My guess is that it has been embellished over the years but I have no problem spending a little time in FantasyLand for my own amusement.

From this point on, I hereby declare that the mere mention of "hot coffee" and / or "McDonald's" is illegal and considered reckless endangerment, and will be punished by the full extent of the law. It is also considered a capital offense to make jokes about something that may or may not be true.

PS, the bricks from the castle fell down on me while I was drunk driving a rental boat around the castle moat and caused me to spill my coffee all over myself!
