Trip Report Our "It's 'Disney' real" June 2016 trip

We're back!!:(:( We had a fantastic time with some not so fantastic moments thrown in, but what trip doesn't have those!

For those of you that haven't read my pre-trip report, here is a quick synopsis:
Who: Me (Amy), my husband Brian, and our kids Logan (13), Lily (11), and Owen (8)
What: 10 day trip with free dining
When: June 2-11, 2016
Where: Caribbean Beach resort

Unfortunately, our flight was set to leave from Columbus at 5:30am. We live in Dayton, which is a little over an hour away from Columbus, so my goal was to leave our house by 3am on Thursday, June 2. We made it!!

Everyone was very excited!

We made it to the airport before the security check even opened! By the time we got our bags checked in to Southwest, we only had to wait a few minutes to get through security.
We were in early boarding group A, so we were on the plane in no time! Still excited!

We got to see the sun coming up once we were in the air.

I know what you mean about being late. LeAnn and I are the same way.
We're eating at 1900 Park Fare for dinner for the first time next month. I hope we enjoy the food more than you did. But your bad transportation experience probably didn't help with enjoying the dinner.
You're right, my stress level certainly didn't help me enjoy dinner! We just felt that the food there was nothing special. The character interaction, on the other hand, was fantastic! We would certainly try again to see if we enjoyed the food any better!

Thursday, June 9
We all slept in a little this day, then we headed over to Disney Springs. This time when we got on the Disney Springs/Typhoon Lagoon bus, it went to Typhoon Lagoon first!:banghead: Disney transportation just seemed to hate us this trip!!

We found a PP photographer!

It was getting close to lunch, so we made our way over to the Marketplace.

We decided on Wolfgang Puck Express for lunch.

We got a pepperoni pizza, mac and cheese, and ravioli to split. It was delicious! In fact, Brian felt like it was one of the best meals we had the entire trip. Sorry, the kids dug in before I could grab pictures!

After lunch, we just browsed for awhile. We hit the Christmas store first to make sure we got our 2016 ornament to bring home!

I wanted to eat at Flame Tree Barbecue, but nobody else wanted to sit outside, even though it is covered seating! They were more interested in Restaurantosaurus, so we headed over that way.

I got a chili cheese dog (I think they need to get buns that fit the dogs!!), Brian got a bacon cheeseburger, Logan got chicken, Lily got PB&J, and Owen got corn dogs. It was all good, but nothing fantastic. My big problem here was there was no Coke available when we first arrived, so Brian told a CM. We kept checking throughout the meal, but it never got refilled until we were finishing. It was very disappointing, as Brian also told another CM half way through our meal about it.

Dessert, on the other hand, was fantastic!! The warm chocolate turtle brownie was to die for!

Owen wanted to do Triceratop Spin next, so we wandered that way.

The kids wanted to stop and do this, but they didn't want to wait 40 minutes, so we skipped it:

Brian and I decided to just send the kids to ride Triceratip Spin. Logan wasn't too thrilled!

Brian and I just hung out and enjoyed the scenery.
