Our Christmas Disneymoon 20th December-30th December 2011

Hi everyone.

I have been meaning to start this all week to cheer myself up- however I haven't been very well and then had an horrific time at my dentist yesterday which has delayed things further.

I am still in lots of pain, but want to start this tonight!

Me and my now husband James (still feels strange to say husband) got married on Saturday 17th December at 12noon in our little town Blackpool which is in the North West of England. We got married in church and had a lovely reception.

Very cool TR Sam and James. Congratulations also our your wedding! What a way to Honeymoon too. Great pics and narrating. You two look great together and much respect to James for being a good sport with the pics. Best wishes and cheers

Ok so after much delay.. (I'm sorry) here's the rest of our Magic Kingdom Day!

So after we watched most of the parade for a second time, we jumped on the railroad.. I was hoping for a sneek peak of the new fantasyland area..

James was excited as he had never ridden it before...

Off we go..

First stop frontierland.. o my the queue for splash looked LONG...

Then to storybook circus.. and gutted couldn't see much through this..

and the original toontown fair station still can be seen..

Next we decided to head down main street.. and have a look around some of the shops.. the weather wasn't look too good..

We went right in to the candy shop.. mm yummy stuff!

Then the rain came down... we were stuck and needed food so we went between shops to the main street bakery for some foodage to keep us going.

The bakery was packed full to the brim with people sheltering from the rain.. we had no hope of a table..

we got a muffin and a brownie ..

Then as we started to pay a miracle happend.. a couple got up and i sat down at a table.. it was actually amazing! I'm never that lucky normally. I sat down ,.. James finished paying , turned around in amazement ... and James then says to me.. how did you get that? I replied.. I have no idea!

Anyway.. here we are enjoying our bakery goods..

As we finished, James kindly asked a lady who was eating at the side by the condiments, whether she'd like our table which she jumped at. Unfortunately when we stood up this lady came charging over like a nutter t grab our table and we had to tell her , that he efforts had been in vain as we had promised it to the other lady.. whoops!

Anyway.. the rain was spitting so we walked up towards the castle..

I began to realise I was feeling a bit cold.. so asked James to give me my bridal hoodie for the first time of our trip..

I then snapped the famous castle again..

We were heading towards

my gosh it was sooo busy

We then headed for a second ride on the carousel of progress- but this time we got stuck !!! Everything was fine until we got to the final christmas scene. It began to sing again.. but we didn;t move!!!! So we sat through it again... and again.. 'there's a great big beautiful tomorrow....' but nope we didn;t move! Finally we were told to remain seated and that we would move in 60 seconds! So Orville has been to the toilet 3 times.. the dad had burnt the turkey 3 times.. it was gettign rather annoying. Finally we began to move.. and everyone cheered it was hilarious!

We then got our fastpasses for buzz lightyear..

But when our time was ready... it had BROKEN DOWN!

The couldn't tell us how long it would be.. so we decided to grab some food at sonny eclipse..

As we sat down a young lad with his mum and dad was literally throwing up EVERYWHERE! it was awful.. poor lad! We cudnt move because theyre just wasn't any seats anywhere - so next thing we know lad and dad have gone to the toilets and mum just up and left! They didn't even let someone know! So James told a cast member and finally they soaked it all up with some sand! It was bizarre,,

in the mean time we had grabbed the chicken meal..

I didn;t enjoy it at all- but i think the sick thing had put a bit of a downer on our meal.

Anyway, I then noticed a mistake on the times guide..

So we went back to Buzz Lightyear and still it was closed..

We went passed the castle ..

caught some of the show..

We headed for a last ride on Pirates of the Caribbean.. love that ride!

Wait time.. not so bad!

We came out and played in the shop..

lol...

We decided to call it a day.. and headed out of MK..

one last look at that castle..

Then .. we got off the disney bus at port orleans and we were quite chilly so we were being a little childish.. playing tig.. so we ran and James slipped on the floor and BANG... whoops! He really went down with a bang.. so he got up in pain.. and i went and got ice..

He was fine.. didn't even bruise.. thanks to my ice...

Next up- we return to EPCOT!

2 days to go.. so we decided to revisit EPCOT! my favourite park..

Here we come through the gates...

It was a beautiful day but chilly..

We decided to head straight to soarin as usual..

The flowers looked beautiful..

Then we made it to the Land pavillion

Yay- fastpasses!

We then rode living with the land again... in the queue i liked this sign...

We then headed over to the seas with nemo and friends..

I love the seagulls- MINE MINE MINE! Though they get annoying after a while.

We then headed towards the world showcase...

we saw the monorail on our travels.. grabbed some good pictures of it..

I adore the ball..

Congratulations! you guys make the sweetest couple! Sounds like you had a great honeymoon. I can´t think of a better place to spend your honeymoon, it´s like going to a different planet where your biggest concern everyday is how crowded the parks will be. You have some great pics!.

The only thing I don´t like is the fact that your husband doesn´t like rollercoasters :brick: tell him it´s a great way to bond... if he gets scared he can hold your hand really tight... it might work

It was a truely wonderful trip!

Lol I hate it too that he doesn't like coasters! The first time he came in 2007, he did the mummy and everest- so I was quite impressed with that- although he did look like he was about to be killed, he really did look terrified.

So back to it...

I forgot to say we grabbed a photopass on our way into the park... here it is!..

Anyway back on track... we were heading to the world showcase..

On the way.. I was snapping the scenery.. it was a very beautiful day!

We walked to Canada and had a look around near Le Celier.. (somewhere I will be eating in the future) The gardens around there are gorgeous..

I wish my back yard looked this good..

We then headed to the UK pavilion..

The uk section does make me giggle.. not really a true representation for sure but its still good.

As James walked up the main building.. it again took me back to when we got engaged in 2009... the building is inspired from Hampton Court Palace where we got engaged..

Anyway...

I was again just happily snapping the scenery.

The world showcase for me is lovely! Its got a very romantic feel in the day and at night...

We headed to have a look at the shop down at the international gateway and I saw another one of these plant things..

As i took the picture another lovely lady asked if we'd like one together..

Across the lake as it was such a clear day you could see the character flight balloon at downtown in the distance

Time was ticking on, and it was nearly time for our dining reservation at chefs des france.. (somewhere i had never eaten)..

So we headed that way..

We got to chefs des france just before noon... we checked in an waited for our name to be called.

When we got called we were led to a lovely 2 seater table in the window..

James had a lovely glass of red wine...

Then our waitress came and introduced herself- she asked us both how we were and I said fine and James said Not too bad.. and she got a little confused and said bad.. are you ok? So we tried to explain what not so bad meant.. anyway.. ! We ordered and she then came and asked if we'd like our picture taken..

She then came with our french bread to start... yum!

James had the chicken.. it was scrummy!

I ordered the burger..

Both our mains were very yummy!! I wish i'd had the chicken afterwards.. but the burger was tasty too!

Next.. PUDDING! James went for the chocolate cake..

and i had the profiteroles..

Overall.. we both loved chefs des france and would certianly recommend and go back again.

After dinner.. we headed to the next pavilion..

We were being rather silly..

I love the fez!

James found a lamp and decided to rub it..

and we continued on our world tour..

I spent ages in the shops on this section! I love the whole pearl oyster thing.. i really wanted to have a go, but I didnt! lol

Lots of pictures of us across the lagoon, we finally got the ball in shot!

we then saw a great photo opportunity...

and we carry on..

So we then went into the mexico pavilion.. I love this one so much.. its such a great setting!

We of course headed to the three cabelleros ride..

because of how busy it was.. they had the queue going up past the shops and up the ramp. They were having to stop the queue and let people out of the shop in stages. We were let in and the family behind stopped.. and a family asked us if we were the back of the queue and we said no.. its back there and explained. They said oh ok.. and then they all decided to jump queue and go in behind! I was fuming!!! I;m the type of person who voices this.. and I kept saying how disgusted I was etc! The family who should have been behind us were now behind them.. i was maddened!

Anyway,, i tried to name and shame by taking this picture.. but i couldnt get them in on it...

As i took it, one of them said o would you like one together? and i said in a very stern voice.. no thank you!

when we got to the front of the queue.. as hilarity would have it.. they tried to get in the boat all on the same part and the man had to ask them to wait for the next turn... good ol karma!

anyway...

We then headed back to the land pavilion

it was time for soarin...
