Oswald the Lucky Rabbit

I haven't been inside that place forever, but I'm sure there's room for him and the latest DA/Pixar star of the year. Ralph and Vanellope seemed to be fairly popular. Wasn't Pooh also meeting in there at some point (I know not anymore)?

Yes during the release of his new film in 2011..

Well just read this on Kenny the Pirates rumour round-up

I personally hope it's true. Have always wanted to meet Oswald and couldn't afford to go all the way to Tokyo. What do you all think?

Can anyone confirm this as I know he was in Japan pavillion in May meeting imagineers to discuss wether or not he was coming to WDW.

Ralph and Vanellope to replaced by Oswald the Lucky Rabbit

Rumors have been pointing to Ralph and Vanellope leaving Hollywood Studios permanently. The date looks to be sometime in November 2014 with the area possibly being refurbished for a meet and greet area for Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Oswald was a successful Walt Disney creation that was taken from him in a contract issue. It’s funny that NBC basically traded Oswald to ABC/Disney for a couple of football announcers.

Aw. I'm going to miss Ralph and Vanellope if that's true. Their tiny little video game meeting area is so well themed. Where else can you hear the music from Contra at WDW?

Aw, why not bump out Minnie? Her spot in there does seem kinda filler-y.

I find it odd they even know who Oswald is at TDO ;) Is it coming from higher up?

They must think the nostalgia lovers and fanboys will line up for him. Not knocking him at all, and glad if he is coming, but I think they seem to be trying anything (Oswald, Frozen Fireworks and Sing and Grope) to get folks into DHS. I can't imagine the everyday family will know who he is and I can't imagine TDO going out of their comfort zone.

Back in January, we took a tour of Costuming and talked to a Cast Member who was making measurements for a Oswald costume. Was a very sophisticated machine he was using. Hopefully by my next trip in November of 2015 I get to meet him!
Means nothing for WDW. The costuming dept in Florida is often working on costumes for the parks around the world. Watched them make a Cheshire Cat costume for Paris 2 years ago.
