Original Muppets Show

It was a fun little show. There was a bit more to it than that clip.

These are a couple of my old photos I have scanned into the PC:

The show was Here come the Muppets. It ran from early 1990 to late 1991, it was replaced with the Voyage of the little Mermaid. You can find the whole show on martins videos( he's a member of this site) it's under A history of MGM part 1

Thanks for spreading the word! It`s virtually the whole show, with a minute or 2 missing in the middle.

It was a great attraction at the time, and sorely needed - MGM was woefully short on things to do at that time.

Too bad that video doesn't show the monorail crashing through...that was the best part!

Eventhough the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles show seems stupid now, I remember how excited I was to see them as a kid. Back then, you wouldn't see very many decent Turtles costumes, so to see that was pretty special! I remember they had cutouts you could stand with (of the Turtles) & I had one taken with all of them. Those were MGMs simpler days.. nobody would be impressed with that today.

It really was a cute show. The video doesn't do it justice. And to those of you who miss the MONORAIL...MONORAIL, it lives on. In Voyage of the Little Mermaid when Ariel comes out on the mobile coral reef set for "Part of your world," that's the monorail mechanism...with a fishy makeover.

Re: Turtles. Say what you will. But the turtle meet and greets garnered the longest lines in the studios at the time.

Additional bit-o-trivia: The Fozzie in that YouTube clip was brought to life by the same fellow performing as MichelAngelo in Turtles.

You know... I think i skipped that show when I went to MGM during those years. I didn't have much time in the park, and the priority was backstage tour, Indiana, Classic TV stage participation and the great movie ride.

Oh, well... I like the 4d far better than this video

So you base your entire opinion on a show which you've never seen on a clip on YouTube?

Bah...You deserved to miss it.

After watching Martin's tribute video a few months ago, I was stunned to learn Meet the Muppets even existed. I enjoyed it quite a bit, and was impressed the actually spent the money to create characters with moving mouths. I wish Disney would do this more. I loved how the Rafiki in Legend of the Lion King moved its mouth when it talked, and I think shows like Beauty and the Beast would be so much more effective if the non-human character moved their mouths, too.
