Oops!

I left a brand new 35mm camera on a tram. We didn't realize it until a few days later. Never did get it back. DH lost a Breitling (I think that's how you spell it) watch on SM last year. OMG, he was mad . He took our niece on the ride and apparently he heard it as it flew off and starting pinging on stuff. That was not a magical day for him. :( We reported it to lost and found but no luck.

I haven't lost anything.. but I did find a pair of pink Children's sun glasses in Mickey's Philharmagic . I turned them in immediately to Lost and Found.
I have heard that all they change the collect (there is a ton in its a Small World) they donate to charity.. anyone confirm this?

In 7/06, my son had on red McQueen sunglasses the whole trip. I carried them for him when he wanted to take them off for each ride/restaurant/shop, etc., On the 8th and last day, he gave them to my husband before entering Buzz and my DDDH left them on the ride. He had the glasses for what, 10 minutes??:ROFLOL:

When we wen tin 8/07, my nephew lost the same hat and found it again on 3 different rides....was getting annoying after the second. He wouls take it off and leave it in the nets and leave them. After the third (Dinosaur), a man walked off wearing it but we got it back. Needless to say he was not allowed to wear a hat after that...hehe.:)

i always throw a penny and make a wish on its a small world, as well as other places where they allow it. on the last day of each trip we throw it into the water by the castle and make a wish to return again, it works everytime..kinda like the trevi fountin in italy

My digital camera slid out of my pocket on space mountain and ended up on the seat. Luckily an observant CM saw it and yelled at me as I walked away. Thanks space mountain castmember! :sohappy:

The only thing we've lost wasn't on a ride. We went to the Hoop De Doo Musical Revue on Fri. night of our last trip. My son had to go to the restroom while we were in line to get in. He left his Spiderman waist pouch on a hook in there. We realized it was gone as we were leaving. There wasn't anything really valuable in there, only his Sharpie for signatures, and his driver's liscense from the Sci Fi Dine In Theatre. We checked there, even with those who had cleaned the bathroom during the show, and at the main lost and found several times before we left on Tues., but no luck. Evidently someone just couldn't get along without it. We bought a new waist pouch and got a new Sharpie from Guest Services (they don't sell them anywhere in the parks) and one of the CMs at Donald's Double Feature heard what happened and gave him a free trading pin off his lanyard because he was upset.

Its funny. The amount of hats I take on vacation and wear every day, Ive never lost a single one.(I pray that I havent just jinxed myself) I know if I did lose it and couldnt get it back, any of my hats, Id be pretty devastated. I mean, really really upset.

I did lose my glasses for a brief moment. I had just gotten off of rrc, and my dad was like where are your glasses. And I was searching all the places I would put em, couldnt find them, so I marched up to the red carpet exit and asked the lady, and thank God she had two pair and wanted me to identify mine. The other pair was so much nicer and I could tell it was probably about $50 so ofcourse I said that pair was mine. lol. jk, I got mine, thanked her, and all was right with the world again. And no the other pair didnt look like it was $50:lol:

A guy in the seat in front om me and my daughter loast his hat on Test track. Somehow, I had just noticed it lifting, and happened to grab it just after it left his head. And if it counts, my 3 year old at the time lost her lunch right after getting off The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. (TMAOWTP for those use to abbreviations) I guess she didnt like the bouncing with Tigger part.

Lost my favorite corona visor on splash in 2001. have the cool splash photo to prove it. you can just see it flying off my head. I'll try and scan it into my computer so you can all see my corona visor in flight.

oh, man..we have lost SO many things on rides..The best was when DH & I were there for our honemoon..We were on spaceship Earth in the part where you gown down hill backwards and we heard a clang..I asked Dh what the sound was and he said "some idiot probably lost his keys"...yup..several hours later after Illuminations when we went to go to our rental car DH couldn't fine hte keys:brick::hammer: At least we knew where to look-LOL (we found them without too much trouble since someone turned them in)

Another time my DD was about 3 y/o and she wears glasses but it was very difficult keeping them on her--she always took them off and threw them. On our second day there we were at EPCOT again ( I am starting to notice a trend with that place!) We were just coming out of the elevator by the Living With the Land boat ride and she flung them right into the water:eek:!! We never did get those back:rolleyes:

I almost forgot the best one..My DH is ..well..lets just way a little thrifty-LOL--and he eyes this hat for $45 for several days before I convinced him to buy it. On the bus ride home he let DS wear it and he left it on the bus! We searched and called everywhere but no one turned it in..Granted he only had it for a day but he still wore it all day & sweat in it..Who would take that??

We donated a binky!

My DD donated her "binky" (pacifier) to the giraffe section of the Safari ride in AK. She just tossed it right over the side of the safari truck. If anyone notices a giraffe with a pink "binky" hanging out of it's mouth.......that would be my daughters..... Come to think of it....that was a brand new binky!

She also decided on the same trip to throw her beloved blankie out of the stroller in MK. Now any parent knows those are irreplaceable! After spending an hour back tracking and going to guest services twice.....some kind person had set it on top of a garbage can on main street and I just happened to catch it out of the corner of my eye......thank god we found that or we would have had to take the next plane home.....well maybe not!

My father-in-law lost his hat coming down splash on year, everytime we go on it we always tell our sons to watch for grandpas hat.

I used to be a Security Host at MK on the graveyard shift. There is a Custodial CM whose job is to walk SM every night (they drain the water) to pick up lost items. He told me that he collects between 50 and 200 hats each night (he had a large trash bag with hats and sunglasses that he had collected the night I asked him).

OH NO! We have backtracked all over the US to get our banklet's back. Notice the spelling, do not dare call them blankets.... LOL. We have also donated Paci's to the lake areas in FW in EPCOT.
The wost thing we lost was my DD's Minnie Bow. My DD had NO hair as a baby and I made a darling head band with Mickey Ears glued on (see avatar) and a big Red and White bow in the center. My DD lost it on the frist night of our trip half way through MNSSHP where she was Minnie Mouse. I went to lost and found every day and called for a week afterward and no one turned it in.

First trip to the World
Went with my Mom (I was 14) and a borrowed camera.
Had loads if great pics on 110 film..
that is, I am sure they would have been great pics if the borrowed camera hadn't ended up at the bottom of the Rivers of America.
It's even funnier now that I think of it... I ended up replacing that 110 camera with a beautiful new Disc camera!! When's the last time you saw one of those short-lived gems?!

I managed to have our pack slide out of the jeep on Dinosaur. I felt it slide to my left, where the rest of my family was sitting and thought that one of them had it, but no it went right out of the jeep. This was around 10am, it had my camera, all our snacks, rain gear, and water. We had fast passes so we were able to ride again and my wife so the pack. We had to wait until the park closed so that when the CM's walked the track, they would bring the pack. Now that I think about it my wife had lost a hat the year before on Dinosaur.
