Love these ads, honestly; they're easily the best marketing the parks do right now (which is a low bar to cross, unfortunately).

No clue what the first one is (my first thought was Mother Gothel, but what's it doing in a teapot?); glad to see the Sanderson sisters are going to be at both coasts now, though.

EDIT: Never mind, the first one likely is Gothel since the sung-through melody at the end is Mother Knows Best.

EDIT x2: Ignore me, Madam Mim and Mother Gothel is absolutely it.
Please be Madam Mim, oh please be Madam Mim!

I’ve never seen a Madam Mim character in the parks. This should be interesting to see.

They should have Merlin in the parks a lot more.
I can already Madam Mim becoming a hit with guests. To date, the only time a live version of Madam Mim every appeared was from one of the Disney on Ice Shows on the late 1980s.

Surprised it took them this long to be honest, then again I geeked out when I first learned King Arthur/Wart made his Disney Parks debut when concept art of the Magic Happens Parade was released.

By the way, lots of nights are already sold out:

The D23-exclusive night September 10 (not marked above because it's a separate ticket) is also sold out.

I'm aware Merlin hasn't been out often at Disneyland (outside of the Magic Happens Parade). But I would love to see Merlin and Madame Mim interacting at the parks in the future (at least for a seasonal event). Hope a face character version of Madam Mim might look better than Sid from last year.

Ticket update: all but one date in October is sold out. I'm mildly surprised that the cheapest dates are the last to go when they were the first to sell out last year:

Okay, but Sid was actually very entertaining in person. The actor was at once 15 and 35, which is spooky indeed. 😂

Hope face character Madame Mim might take cues from Disneyland Paris' Evil Queen form as an Old Hag/Witch where she's a face character in that park.

In 2019 MNSSHP played Dead Man's Party in Adventure Land. I sure hope it makes an appearance at Oogie Bash especially since TNBC music is the work of Danny Elfman!

And then there were two. Only the 6th and the 15th of September are available now, and all of October is sold out.

I'm actually very surprised how fast the nights sold out this year; I think you could still get tickets about a month after they dropped last year.

Hopefully, the 15th says under sold 😂 I was kind of shocked at how it long it to get tickets on Thursday. I guess people still have pent up demand and money from the pandemic?

This is proof to Disney that they don't have to add or change ANYTHING! Just offer the same year after year after year, and still sell out every single date in under a week.

I feel like the opposite is actually the case here; OBB 2021 sold out about as fast as it did in 2019 (2ish months, give or take a few weeks), but they didn't highlight the new villains until shortly after the party already sold out (Sid, Cruella, and Agatha were teased like a day or two after it sold out, and Zombie Cap like in the last week of the parties) so we never saw how the new villains would have affected ticket sales.

OBB selling out within days feels like a direct response to the additions they made last year. Folks likely didn't want to miss out on what new villains they might bring out this time around; already now that they teased Madam Mim and Mother Gothel as new villains, and I doubt that's the only surprise they'll be sharing since it's still so early. (If they don't bring out the Sanderson sisters with Hocus Pocus 2 on the way, something must be seriously wrong with the D+ marketing budget.)

Also OBB is still pretty new. This is only the third season.

Depending on your priorities, OBB may be the best party night currently offered.

If your priority is maximum amount of attractions, you might prefer a DL party.

Otherwise, OBB wins, hands down. I went to the first one, skipped last year and plan to go again this year.

For comparison - the recent Sweethearts Nite was great - a ton of rare characters out against lovely DL locations. My only complaint was that it needed to be an hour longer. Villains Nite at DCA was a hot mess though as everything seemed unplanned and last minute thrown together.

But OBB has rare characters out PLUS free candy and a great little parade along with the atmospheric Villains Grove area. It's currently the best party night offering if you're looking for characters PLUS more for your money. IMO.
