If you would have asked me up till 2005 I would have said "Nowhere but the Contemporary". However, my family stayed at the Beach Club for the first time in 2006 and that's where we'll be until we can't afford it anymore.

Since you mentioned the Contemporary, I'll go ahead and ask this question here rather than waste a new thread on it. I was just curious what their theme is. All the other resorts have a pretty clear theme, but I can't really tell what the theme of the contemporary is supposed to be. I wouldn't mind staying there someday, but it seems to be kind of "plain". If someone were to ask me what the theme of the Grand Floridian is, I could tell them it is themed after the old 1920's era Florida beach resorts. If someone asked me what the theme of Animal Kingdom Lodge is supposed to be, I could easily tell them. But if I were asked what the theme of the Contemporary is, I really don't think I could answer that question.

If I were to venture a guess, I would say contemporary's theme is "futuristic", at least that was the original intent when it was built in the 70s. The room furnishing are art deco/modernistic, the monorail runs through the building, and the A Frame tower. That's just my opinion, though!

I did read your entire post, thus the Motel 6 comment. IMO "value" means cheap, but for marketing purposes I guess cheap tends to offend some. But, I'll be politically correct and honor you "valued" opinoin...

I'm not going to bore everyone by posting all of the definitions of "value" in Webster's, but cheap is never mentioned. The 1st definition is : "a fair return or equivalent in goods, services, or money for something exchanged."

If you look closely, you will notice that the Contemporary and Tommorowland have some of the same decor. Shinny silver steel doors found in Cosmic Rays are also in found in the Contemporary. Also, the cast member uniforms are similar as well.
