WARNER BROS. STUDIOS BACKLOT:
1622675599422.png

If Disney could've buy Warner Bros. in 2016, I think this will make another icon for a separate theme park from Disney's Hollywood Studios, Warner Brothers found in 1926 in Burbank, California, it was biggest film history in the world besides Disney and Universal. Hollywood needs romance, superheroes, comedy, animation and adventure and beyond. Bugs Bunny will be statue along with Jack Warner or Chuck Jones. Bugs Bunny also could be icon of new theme park, Warner Bros. Studios Backlot. In 2022, Warner Bros. Studios Backlot opened at Disneyland Paris Resort near by Walt Disney Studios Paris.

After passing through the main gate of the Walt Disney Studios Park, guests will immediately see a replica of les César du cinéma, the French equivalent of the Oscar, surrounded by a beautiful fountain with leaping water jets set to perform to a mix of classic French and Disney music throughout the day.

At night, the statue comes alive with lights and projection mapping showcasing a collage of movies across the ages (similar to the original ending of the Great Movie Ride), eventually spreading from the statue to neighboring buildings to fully surround the guests as if they were in the movies themselves.

ROGER RABBIT'S TOONTOWN
1622680318070.png

Toontown is wackiest and funny in the world, founded and owned by Marvin Acme in 1930s but in 1947 after his death, Toons of Toontown takes over own Toontown.
the location will near by Hollywood Blvd at Disney Studios Paris. Based on big success film Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988),
join Roger Rabbit and his Toon pals to bring anvils, TNTs, bombs, portable holes and more ACME gag products to squash some Toons like cartoon shorts. But just watch out for falling pianos or safes. Main attraction will be Toontown Transit, a simulator hybrid like Star Tours and StormRider as Gus the Bus (who wanted to be a movie star) will take the guests a tour of Toontown to see Toon cameos, as possible detour like
falling anvils, TNTs, almost caught by Monstro the Whale, falling down into Toontown, saving Jessica Rabbit from burning fireworks factory and more!

What better choice for a new icon for Disney's Hollywood Studios than with a beautiful fountain featuring all of the franchises that make Disney the most money? Featured in the fountain are statues of Olaf, Rey Skywalker, Rocket Raccoon, the live action version of Simba, the 2013 cartoons version of Mickey Mouse, Woody, and (of course) Bog Iger atop a twenty-foot tall pedestal.

Yeah, I couldn't think of anything, so I decided to go the satirical route.

Nestled in the middle of Sunset Boulevard, the new thoroughfare for the Walt Disney Studios Park, and surrounded by evocative Spanish Colonial Revival-style buildings is a full replica of the beloved and long-lost Carthay Circle Theater, where the park's newest attraction, Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway ("in Fantavision" as its neon marquee proudly states), will be hosted in. Every night is premiere night at the Carthay Circle rotunda, where bright searchlights and neon lights fill the skies and streets as Mickey Mouse's newest film premieres at what is perhaps the most important movie palace in Disney history.

Emerald Castle

The Wizard of Oz in many respects was a defining moment of Hollywood with the rise of technicolor, and the Emerald Castle guiding guests towards the back of the newly defined Hollywood Studios will serve as not only an icon for the park and an elaborate theme throughout the park with the Yellow Brick Road acting as a Freedom Trail throughout the park, but also as a symbol of Hollywood that once was and always will be.

The Film Strip-
Coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios as part of the park rebranding, this is a new park icon guests will see at Hollywood Boulevard, in front of the Chinese Theater. It’s shaped like a film strip, and it also signifies both the beginning and the end of your adventure through Disney‘s Hollywood Studios.
Posting first comes with a variety of risks especially with this being a whole new season of One Sentence, and your first time playing! With that said you have done wonderfully! The Film Strip is a fun and cute way to work in the movie aspect of the park, and would be instantly recognizable!

STEAMBOAT WILLIE’S RIVERBOAT

View attachment 561510

A real life version of the riverboat seen in Steamboat Willie, the animated short that started it all, will be incorporated into the lake that will be coming with the recently announced expansion to Walt Disney Studios Park. Additionally, we can exclusively reveal that there will be a statue featuring Mickey Mouse and Walt Disney at the bow of the ship.

I love the concept of this and it is a great use of space for the newly created lagoon in WDSP! I have concerns of how easy it'll be to make out the statues from a distance, but the legacy and importance of Steamboat Willie is great to see honored in such an iconic way ;)

MAROON CARTOON STUDIOS

View attachment 561521Located at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Sunset Blvd, Maroon Cartoon Studios was tribute to RK Maroon, who was killed by Judge Doom, former as Cloverleaf Industries who wanted to sell Maroon Studios and Toontown for the freeway. The studio was founded in 1929, it was going to beat Warner Brothers and Walt Disney's productions, later in 1940s, MGM and Maroon Cartoons were battle each other for their best shorts, as RK Maroon found three new Toons stars, Roger Rabbit, Baby Herman and Jessica Rabbit in 1938. Not until Maroon Cartoon Studios closed in 1947 due to RK Maroon's death and selling progress. But it was reopened year later as Eddie Valiant defeats Judge Doom again as Doom returns from the death who was disguises as CB Maroon, but real CB Maroon takes over Maroon Cartoons as new Roger Rabbit and other Maroon Cartoon shorts are producing again, there will have statues of Roger Rabbit and RK Maroon which will beat Mickey Mouse and Walt Disney.

ROGER RABBIT'S TOONTOWN
View attachment 561545
It's wacky like Max Fleischer 1930s cartoons (Betty Boop and Popeye) Toontown is wackiest and funny in the world, founded and owned by Marvin Acme in 1930s when he was looking for his gags but until 1947 he was killed by Judge Doom as he wanted to his will to own Toontown and demolished into a freeway but until Judge Doom got dipped by Eddie Valiant, as Toons of Toontown finally owns Toontown from Marvin Acme's last sentence.
the location will near by Hollywood Blvd at Disney Studios Paris.
The attractions will be Toontown Transit, a simulator like Star Tours and Storm Rider which Gus the Bus (who wanted to be a movie star) which takes you a tour of Toontown. Baby Herman's Runaway Baby Buggy Ride based on Tummy Trouble short, Toon Coaster based on RollerCoaster Rabbit short, Toontown Tower Hotel, Droopy Dog as bellhopper takes you way up into the outer space and falls down back into streets of Toontown. A reimagining of Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin which you aboard Benny's cousin, Lenny the Cab as you will rescue Jessica Rabbit from the weasels.

I first want to say welcome to One Sentence Competition, and love all this energy you have for Imagineering and Roger Rabbit! Now with that said I feel like you missed the mark on what the One Sentence Competition is? All three of your posts have far more than the allotted two sentences, however given this is your first time playing that's not going to be held against you. In addition you did submit three separate projects all three with some snags to it. In the first one the icon wasn't really made clear was it the parody Partner Statue or the Studios? In the second post you kinda bent the rules of prompt and created a whole new park which doesn't fit the criteria. Then the final project lacks a clear icon and repeats a lot of the same information from your first post. It also isn't my place, but the grammar of some of the sentences seems a bit off. With that all said don't take this too harshly, but rather learn from the critiques and apply them for the next prompt and other competitions!

Noticed you posted two more projects since writing this, love the enthusiasm but remember to keep some ideas for later prompts! Also for future reference try crafting your projects to fit the prompts better. As these last few projects felt really disjointed and even stretching it doesn't seem to answer the prompts. However this doesn't mean your ideas are bad just not a match, do not let this discourage you nor your creativity.

The Clapperboard

Lights! Camera! Action!!!
One of the most iconic objects associated with filmmaking gets its rightful place at the center of attention as the new central icon of Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
Much like @Disney Pacifist 's idea this pitch fits perfectly with the vibe of Hollywood Studios. Both a film strip and clapboard are iconic pieces of film imagery with both depicting different aspects of film. The clapboard leans toward the production side of things meanwhile the film strip leans toward the film itself.

The Golden Sun Tree
d1of22s-8becba4a-fde7-4e62-a546-0bd5f2ac0d60.jpg

A reimagined version of the "Golden Spire" concept for DCA, this tall, golden tree grows high atop of Grizzly Peak for all to see, invoking the California sun rising high in the sky. Special lighting features ensure that that it maintains it's warm glow, even at night.
I think this is a fun and clever way to add a new icon to DCA while reworking the golden aspects from DCA 1.0 that didn't really work, but in this more magical take of things it better blends that Cali and Disney magic feel. A nice touch in the lighting keep the tree glowing the entire time!

I think this an extremely clever French take for the park icon idea bringing together the local culture and Disney magic while the projection show sounds lovely!

I think this is a good fit and a great way to pivot the park into more old school Hollywood while mixing in the Disney history. The projection show sounds neat.

I think this is a great way to modernize and revive the old hubcap Sun from DCA's early days while making it fun for guests even tyimhit into the cult classic Goofy Movie!

Hollywood’s iconic Cinerama Dome movie palace, a massive white semi-sphere, makes its point abundantly clear: Disney Hollywood Studios is half as good as Epcot! 😛
Simple yet fun this gives Hollywood Studios a fun icon! However I can't say I'm a huge fan of it after all you yourself brought up the Epcot comparison and of course Studios already has the Chinese Theater. However I think this could do wonders over at Paris which lacks both the Chinese Theater and Spaceship Earth.

Monty you went above and beyond with this one! Not only did you include a new icon but also a new ride for WDSP. Carthay Circle is a great pick for an icon for WDSP giving it some much needed Old Hollywood themeing into the area giving it some. Thrown in the unique and exciting atmosphere at night and this a great icon for the park.

The Emerald City holds a significant place in film history and acts a great reminder of film history! However I'm not sure how it would blend in with the current park, but at the same time Cinderella Castle works on Main Street USA so perhaps it will just work in practice!
