That makes me so happyCorgi
Yes, corgis are cute, but I love the idea in Welsh legends that they were the favored mounts of fairies.
Seriously. Welsh legends have fairies being the source of corgis. That makes me so happy

I love the Corgi from B99! So adorableThat makes me so happy
The chasing Cheddar episode was so hilarious, especially the way Jake described Cheddar as if he was a hardened escaped criminal that's immediately juxtaposed by him doing cute corgi things (walking by himself, licking a dropped ice cream cone, etc.)I love the Corgi from B99! So adorable
Yes they are!!!I love cats most, enough that I have 3!
They get such a negative rep but they're all sweeties.

Australian animals are definitely underrepresented as currently the only major representation are Wallabies in the Oasis and Red Kangaroos in Discovery Island so adding more animals are always a slam dunk in my opinion! A drop bear is actually fictional, but would be a fun tie in as a new mythological/folklore character. Not sure if plexiglass really fits the idea of enrichment as it doesn't really add enrichment for the animals, but it would be a fun opportunity for unique views into the exhibits.Australia’s (not-so) Dangerous WildlifeView attachment 566157As part of a future expansion to DAK adding an Australian land, a new animal experience is added. Come see more dangerous animals like drop bears and snakes, as well as some cuter animals like dingos and kangaroos.
Bonus: To ensure guests are safe, plexiglass is installed in this exhibit to make sure animals don’t go loose and it also adds to the immersion because it is themed to Australia’s deserts.
Chimpanzees are a great choice for a new exhibit for the park, and Disney could make this a great PR spin allowing for retired government monkeys or released pets to live here.CHIMPANEZEES:
View attachment 566166
Disney's Animal Kingdom needs more apes, but they will need chimpanzees so badly, as the addition will be perfect for Africa area. As you know they like to play and eating bananas but sometimes they are fighting each other sometimes. Chimpanzees does lived in Africa.
Well there's no North America section at Animal Kingdom, but with that in mind the selection of bats doesn't really mesh with that setting. Egyptian fruit bats are only found in well Egypt, but besides bats would be a really neat addition to the park to support their cousins over in Asia.BATS
View attachment 566228
A larger bat cave will be perfect new addition for North America at Disney's Animal Kingdom,
as we will have different bats in the world such as big & little brown bats, vampire bats, Mexican free-tailed bats, Egyptian fruit bat and many more!
Apparently a lot of people deep in the zoo community are do not love pandas due to their popularity, but I am personally so excited to go see my first panda next month at Atlanta! (Would live any tips from other zoo lovers on how to apporach the Atlanta Zoo, @PerGron any advice?) Pandas would be a major draw and money maker as you mentioned, and the variety of bamboo is a nice touch as there are apparently over 1000 species of bamboo!Panda BearsWho doesn't love panda bears? These cuddly black-and-white bruins would make a wonderful addition to Maharajah Jungle Trek, sure to bring more guests to experience the attraction and go "Awwwwwwwwwww!" at how cute they are (and sell lots of merchandise, which should totally get Bob Chapek on board!).
View attachment 566197
BONUS: There's gotta be lots and lots of bamboo around the habitat (we ARE talking about giant pandas, after all).
Welcome @PerGron to the One Sentence competition! While losing Kali is a bit sad I too would prefer more animals over it! Ever since finding out about this animal in Zoo Tycoon I have become a fan of them, and I love the fact that you focused on the conservation of these animals. The enrichment for the horses is really well crafted, and would be entertaining for the horses and guests as well! After all real icy fake snow in Florida would be very impressive for anyspecies involved!View attachment 566219Coming to an expanded Maharajah Jungle Trek replacing the Kali River Rapids attraction is the Przewalski’s Wild Horse (Equus ferus przewalskii) (pronounced Shuh-vahl-skee). This endangered species was once extinct in the wild but thanks to captive breeding populations In zoos worldwide, the last true wild horse species serves as an example of one of conservation’s best success stories, an idea being brought to Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
Bonus: Disguised as a rock, a snow machine will produce small amounts of snow that can be used by the horses to roll around in and cool down in before it quickly melts in the Florida heat.
A LION!
Released directly into the walkways.
Mr. Goldfinger
View attachment 566308
This majestically regal American house cat of the species Felis catus receives a spot of honor on the Kilimanjaro Safari, where several sprawling acres are set aside exclusively for Mr. Goldfinger to laze about and hunt gophers to his heart’s delight. The enclosure perfectly recreates the African savanna which Mr. Goldfinger clearly fantasizes about all day long, while a recreation of his suburban home in California keeps Mr. Goldfinger comfortable and safe at night.
BONUS: Mr. Goldfinger is lavished with Fussie Cat brand canned cat food (he particularly likes the tuna in aspic), Trader Joe’s Feline Treats for when he is especially good, plus a round-the-clock harem of human attendants to scritch his fluffy belly and stroke his mighty mane whenever Mr. Goldfinger so desires.
I -A DREADFUL ENCOUNTER ON PLANET ZEBUS
View attachment 566224
A strange new structure suddenly sprung up in the outskirts of Dino-Land USA, in an area previously overrun by trees and foliage. This bizarre high tech laboratory is where Galactic Federation research scientists have been successfully breading a new variant of parasitic Metroids. These deadly creatures drain the life out of anything they latch onto, and here at Animal Kingdom there is no shortage ofunfortunate touristslife sustaining nourishment for the noxious creatures to feed on!
This a great way to incorporate living animals into Pandora. The entire exhibit is an experience with the hydrolators and deep sea base aesthetic. This exhibit is a great way to incorporate the upcoming sea theme from Avatar 2, and adds a new biome not currently represented in the park. The enrichment is very well thought out, and a great way to interpret the species' original environment.
Just east of Na’vi River Journey is the entrance to the Tanhi AquaBase, where guests can take hydrolators down to an 'underwater' observation deck and discover the bioluminescent depths of a pitch-black sea. Real, deep-sea creatures may seem more than alien to us, like glowing siphonophores — a quick image search for which reveals a trove of unreal, neon beings — sea sapphires, and chains of salps, adding some genuine life to Pandora and some air-conditioned square footage to Animal Kingdom.
Bonus: Siphonophores have fragile, gelatinous bodies — an adaptation to the immense pressure of the deep ocean — so every tank includes a high powered jet which keeps the water hot and pressurized (3,000 pounds per square inch), creating conditions similar to hydrothermal vents on the ocean floor.
I actually went through a huge ants phase in late middle and early high school with the YouTube channel AntsCanada! What many don't realize is that ants are widely different, and by providing 12 different species it aids in demonstrating the vast differences and unique features of various species. Off the top of my head there's the honeypot, marauder, ghost, carpenter, and of course the basic red, yellow and black that many are familiar with. The educational portion of the exhibit is also a great touch, and the enrichment is clever as it allows for consistent temperatures for any species.
At Discovery Island, near of It’s Tough to be A Bug, an exposition dedicated to the different species of ants will be built. In this new addition there will be environments for twelve different ant species from around the world, where guests will be able to see them move through their underground tunnels, as well as learn about what they contribute to their ecosystem, the environmental conditions they require to survive and their way of life.
BONUS: A heating mat will be placed under each of the different Ant Environments to regulate the temperature, since most species of ants thrive when the temperature stays consistently between 20–28 °C.
This is a great expansion to the to the current trail to a lesser known animal, but still a cool looking animal. Nice seeing you pull on some of your local knowledge, and utilizing to aid in making sure you address conservation for the species! You got the enrichment right! The faux tree stumps, trunks and branches ties into what is done at Animal Kingdom and all over the world as an example for enrichment. The burying of food beneath the ground is a nice touch, and was a great way to promote natural behaviours.Drats, I missed the submission for the last prompt! Better double-check those timezone conversions...
Visayan Warty Pig
Maharajah Jungle Trek, Asia
Joining the Maharajah Jungle Trek family in Asia is the Visayan Warty Pig (Sus cebifrons), a critically endangered species of pig found in the Visayas islands of the Philippines. Known as the "rockstar pig" for its distinctive mohawk of hair found on the male pigs, the Visayan warty pig will be the first pig species that guests can discover on the trail and will directly contribute to the slow but steady rise in population due to successful in-captivity breeding.
BONUS (ENRICHMENT ITEMS): Coinciding with the Kali River Rapids' deforestation storyline, a new set-piece will be included in the enclosure featuring several tree stumps, overturned tree trunks, scattered tree branches, and soil substrate where zoo cast members will hide several food items (e.g., tubers, roots, etc.) in at varying depths for the pigs to dig for to promote natural foraging and rooting.
If I used the incorrect terms in describing animal behavior, just let me know! My 3 units of Biology in college aren't helping out and I completely forgot what I learned in my high school Biology classes...
A great tie in to Dinoland and matches the current species located in the land really well! The unique distinction and aesthetic of this reptile aids in providing another educational exhibit perfect for guests to learn at.Tuatara
DinoLand, U.S.A. gets a brand new exhibit giving guests a chance to see some living creatures that have descended from the dinosaurs, such as the tuatara (a reptile whose taxonomic order originated from the Triassic Period).
Oh wow these are freaky! Animal Kingdom severely lacks representation for crustaceans, outside of their menus, and this a great first entry for the park. The alien nature of this creature would make this an exciting find for any guest who stumbles upon it, and the enrichment is well done as it encourages the natural scavenging behavior the crab is known for. Good job!Japanese Spider CrabsThe world's largest crabs and arthropods make their debut at Animal Kingdom, in a new warm, aquatic grotto into the Oasis, where the Floridian climate is perhaps perfect for the fascinatingly, terrifying crustaceans.
Bonus: Their crab pools are designed to suit their talents for camouflage by covering their pools with anemomes and sponges, as well as plenty of dead plant and animal matter, as they prefer to scavenger then hunt.
Personally not a fan of big dogs they scare me a bit, but I do enjoy medium to small sized dogs!Even though I‘m not a pet person, ironically dog-like and cat-like animals are my favorite. From the big ones to the smaller ones, they all seem fine.
Probably dogs. Seriously, who doesn’t love a cute little puppy?
Corgi
Yes, corgis are cute, but I love the idea in Welsh legends that they were the favored mounts of fairies.
PUPPIESSSSSS! No clue corgis had such importance in Welsh folklore though, very neat to find out!Golden Retriever
I mean, look at them: aren't they just adorable and friendly-looking? We've been actually pitching the idea of getting one to our parents for our new house since they've been wanting one, and so far they're liking the idea!
She looks like she owns EVERYTHING, why else would she be on top of the desk if it were not handle her many many duties? My favorite animal is my cat, Zelda! She’s adorable and sweet and chatty and lovable!!

They are the MOST successful hunter in all of Africa with an 80% success rate, the ability to communicate by sneezing, and strategic hunting plans. Plus, the pack assists their elderly, injured, and young and allow them to eat first, making them the most social animal in Africa too.
He doesn't like the most approachable fellow hereMy favorite animal is Mr. Goldfinger.
I suppose the question remains which penguin movie is your favorite? Happy Feet, Surfs Up or The Pebble and the Penguin?PENGUINSView attachment 566617
I love their colors, the way they walk, and I think they’re super cute, they’ve been my favorite animal since I was a kid.
Elephants are really interesting, and they're my second favorite animal. They just have a likeable quality to them so totally get what you mean! It's hard to choose, but I think I'm gonna have to go with elephants. Not sure why, I've just always liked 'em a lot.
I love cats most, enough that I have 3!
