I want to start off by thanking all of you for your kind words for how you have all enjoyed to competition :D

Secondly everybody has under 24 hours to submit and/or edit their submissions for the finale!

Lastly as I mentioned yesterday I'll be continuing to share my songs of the summer, and let's get on with three more!

First up is Titi Me Pregunto by Bad Bunny, like I mentioned yesterday Bad Bunny's latest album has a hold on me and this song is just another example of the pure fun. While the song and lyrics may seem like jovialities, Bad Bunny does use this song to point out the toxic environment children grow up in with the jokes and encouragements of having many girlfriends when little, but the minute one does have more than one...well you know isn't really smiled upon.

Next up is Baila by Jennifer Lopez. My appreciation for JLo's music began of course with what I call the best Halftime show for a Superbowl, and looking into her actual catalogue of songs was fueled by a playlist I was making of Early 2000's music. Baila itself does feel like an early 2000 pop song, but it has a lot of latin infusion from the obvious being Spanish to latin beats.

Rounding out todays three songs is Say You'll Be There by The Spice Girls! This one of my mellow summer tracks, and much like JLo's music I discovered more of the Spice Girls' catalogue thanks to that Early 2000's (had a few late 1990's hits too) playlist I made.

Typhoon Tailspin Festival
St-Louis-Cotton-Club-Band-Missouri-1925.jpg
One of the hottest bands to come out from Diesel Bay, the Aurora Australis Band has stormed into Typhoon Lagoon to wash away the blues with the Typhoon Tailspin Festival; an upbeat aviation themed jazz dance party playing renditions of classic hits from the 1920s-30s as well as original songs that are all related to the skies above and the sensation of flight. This ragtag band is made up of members who worked on the planes and with the pilots coming and out Diesel Bay, with Violinist Osmond “Ozzy” Dawn and his wife; Saxophonist Aurora Dawn; both being members of the Society for Knowledge and Yearning.
Bonus: As I had adopted a stray kitten that had wandered onto my home just before the summer, I think there is no other tune that would fit the scenario.

Carolwood Pacific Smokehouse
85fd08c6941f2cb23f84ee984269fbb4.jpg
Located in an old freight depot along part of the defunct Fort Wilderness Railroad, the Carolwood Pacific Smokehouse offers; as its name would suggest; a complete lunch and dinner menu of in-house smoked items such as Pork Belly Burnt Ends, Sausage Bites, Vegetable Skewers, Salmon Flatbread, Cheese Sandwiches, and even desserts like Apple Bourbon Crisp. The building itself; and the surrounding space for that matter; is decked out with homages to railroads related to Disney; both the company and the man himself; such as a flyer for the Grizzly Flats Railroad, authentic equipment from the Santa Fe, and even; right beside the seating area; a FtWRR themed gondola converted into a garden bed.

Beastlie Parade
3e10168f51045d9ded94c02c9cc0ba4a.jpg
Trouping into Discovery Island, Beastlie Parade bring animals of myths and fables to life through the use of puppets; similar to what the Merry Menagerie does; with birds and beasts like griffins, pegasus, and firebirds and AAs for the larger beasts including a dragon and a baby Indrik; a unicorn-like creature from Slavic folklore that is described as being the "king of the beast" and is said to be so big as to make the earth tremble when it stirs.

Beauté du Sud
HM_MonteleoneHoliday2015_DSC01787_12072015.png
Built just across the Sassagoula River from the existing Port Orleans: French Quarter property, Beauté du Sud; French for Southern Beauty; lives up to her name, being modelled after the Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans' very own French Quarter. The new extension brings; besides luxurious studios and multi-bedroom villas in the French Quarter theme; a new park and outdoor pool space called Place du Carrousel; featuring a carousel similar to what is seen at the city’s Carousel Gardens, and a new table service restaurant called Bienville's; named after the Canadian French Naval Officer who established New Orleans when he explored the Lower Mississippi.

Good afternoon everyone, there are roughly nine hours left to submit and/or edit your proposals for the finale!

In addition since this is the final day here are my last three songs of the summer!

Starting off its El Apagon by Bad Bunny! Another Bad Bunny song from his latest shouldn't come as a shock at this point ;) Much like Titi Me Pregunto this song infuses a danceable beat with a message to listeners, albeit this one is clearer if you understand Spanish. An apagon is a blackout, something that Puerto Rico is increasingly becoming known for due to its failing infrastructure. The lyrics point out how many Puerto Ricans are fed up with these blackouts, but at the same time that they're able to make the most of it and have a good time. The second message of the song is alluded to in the beginning of the song, and firmly established at the end of the song; this message is that of mainlanders and other outsiders coming into Puerto Rico and pushing out Puerto Ricans from their homes and countries. This has been becoming a bigger issue with companies and outsiders breaking Puerto Rican laws such as to privatize beaches which are all public use under the constitution of Puerto Rico; there's more to this, but trying to keep this post as unpolictially charged as possible. The third message has to do with the lyrics "Me gusta la chocha de Puerto Rico" which is what works hardest against the messages of the song as the lyrics are rather vulgar in the Spanish speaking world. That said love this song, and I have had it on repeat with the other Bad Bunny songs albeit I do turn this song off the minute my grandparents are around.

Next up is a song that many probably wouldn't expect as a summer song, but it's the Tupelo Shuffle by Swae Lee and Diplo with samples from Elvis. After hearing this in the Elvis film, and later on the soundtrack I was hooked on this song. While I wouldn't necessarily play this at a party, I would and have played this when I'm just vibing.

My final song of the summer is a classic, it's Guantanamera by Celia Cruz! Celia Cruz is a singer originating from Cuba, and many of her songs have become staples in my life as her music always surrounded my life. Growing up at late night family parties and gatherings it was sure fire thing to hear one of her songs play, and this honestly stays true to this day given how quintessential her music is to my culture. This song in particular is one I would always sing with my family as it is a favorite of my grandparents.

That's been my last song of the summer, but I look forward to hearing all of yours!

This set of reviews are for the Summer Catchup bonus.

Iron Man Defense Squad by @Chaos Cat
This concept brings guests right into the action of Marvel superheroes, and many I'm sure would love to be piloting their own Iron Man suit. I do wish there a bit more details, but you did the best you could with the limitations.

Dagobah Experience by @Tony the Tigger
Dagobah is often forgotten by Disney fans when it comes to Star Wars locales for theme parks which is just a shame given how distinct it is from anything else we have seen in Star Wars. This attraction takes full advantage of the atmospheric environment the planet carries, and a boat ride is the perfect way to traverse the swamp planet.

Remy's Hide and Squeak by @Tony the Tigger
A rather simple experience, but still effective as we know these scavenger hunts tend to be rather popular at the parks given how many Epcot and other theme parks have throughout the year. The prize at the end is a nice surprise at the end too.

OSC Reviews.png

These reviews are for the first challenge of the finale, The Beach Bonfire

Luau Eruption by @Chaos Cat
A fun concept that plays into the established mythos of Volcano Bay, and the fact that it is park wide give the park new life during the night fully embracing the beach bonfire party concept. Mera Mera has a rather catchy beat to it I can see why it's your Song of the Summer +1 Bonus Point!

Mr. Six's Hurricane Dance Party by @Disney Warrior

I'm not sure if Mr. Six is still used by Six Flags, but he is so well loved for well being Mr. Six and his iconic dancing that this makes sense for Six Flags to capitalize on the campy nature of the character. Incorporating "We Like to Party" is a great way to capture the music of the era, and really make this a throwback event. As It Was is a great song, and I get why it gets so much love; personally my favorite song off his new album is Music for a Sushi Restaurant +1 Bonus Point!

Disney's Saturday Morning Dance Party by @MickeyMouse10

I'm surprised Disney has yet to capitalize on these characters in the Florida park as Disneyland has taken full advantage of these retro characters for their After Dark nights. I think this a great theme for a dance party, and it was surprising to see the Wuzzles mentioned alongside the other more successful shows. Don't crucify me everyone, but I have yet to watch the latest season of Stranger Things however I do agree "Running Up That Hill" is very catchy. +1 Bonus Point!

Blizzard Beach Dance Party by @Brer Panther

Bringing out all the arctic themed characters Disney has in storage after the holiday season is a great way to continue utilizing them, and Blizzard Beach is a natural fit for these characters. Didn't know what a woggle bird was, but now I do +1 Bonus Point!

Holiday Dance Party by @OvertheHorizon

It's great to see all this love for Blizzard Beach, and this Holiday Dance Party is a great way to tie in the adjacent Winter Summerland Mini Golf which does the same Holiday infusion for guests. The added cherry on top is that this occurs through the holiday season, and it's not often that the waterparks even get to celebrate the holidays. Summer Lovin is a classic, and Grease was a favorite of mine was I was younger +1 Bonus Point!

Blizzard Beach Dance Party by @cdunlap

I do wish there was bit more detail here, but a dance party here is a solid idea.

Mickey's Splashdance Party by @mharrington
Didn't know this album existed prior to this post, but theming a beach dance party at Typhoon Lagoon to it just makes perfect sense. I could see this working great given Disney likes to bring back these obscure albums for entertainment, just look at Move It! Shake It! Mousekedance It!. The era themed dance party with the added water effects are just perfect for Typhoon Lagoon as well. Hadn't heard of Whatcha Gonna Do prior to this post either, but I do like the calm summery vibes this song brings to it +1 Bonus Point!

LGB-Tea Dance at Typhoon Lagoon by @Tony the Tigger

Given the new entertainment offerings that debuted at Paris for Pride, I could see something like this happening here stateside especially as Disney has been pushing for celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community more in the last year (the in park murals and renaming the rainbow collection to the pride collection). The dance party itself sounds high energy offering plenty of vibrant family entertainment, and the music played throughout the party is just perfect for summer time dance. I haven't heard of Big Energy before, but never had heard of it; it's pretty catchy and listening to it I realize I've heard it in passing but never paid too much attention to it. That said adding it to my liked songs on Spotify +1 Bonus Point!

Kamohoali'i Splash Party by @Evilgidgit

A cute concept for a dance party with a nice backstory that connects it to why the characters appear alongside the music and fun. I'm not sure if Blizzard Beach is the best thematic fit, but I do the concept is solid. Lester's Possum Park is always a fun song to listen to +1 Bonus Point!

Antman & the Wasp: The Beat Goes Boom at Typhoon Lagoon by @Tegan pilots a chicken

I definitely think that Antman would be great at throwing a party, and would have some kicking music. Hadn't heard about 90s Kids, the song is rather nice; not going to lie the music video was tough for me to watch due to all the vomit with that said +1 Bonus Point!

Aurora Australis Band by @Suchomimus

Always nice to see how the forum projects influence one and other, and this project continues to grow the mythos surrounding the forum favorite DisneySky project. Love the amount of backstory and details you worked into something as simple as a dance party, and the unique offering is one that will delight guests. Nice to hear about your kitty, and a heartwarming reason for the song +1 Bonus Point!

Y'all sure know how to throw shindig, and they all sound like some great fun under the sun! However we do need to rank them so here are the results for the first challenge of the finale, The Beach Bonfire!

OSC 4 - Honorable.png

This challenge's honorable mention is @MickeyMouse10 with Disney's Saturday Morning Dance Party! I could see this concept coming to fruition given the recent surge of nostalgia from this era being pushed thanks to the remakes/reboots of DuckTales, Rescue Rangers, and the under development Darkwing Duck. Overall a solid dance party that'll get many fans ready to dance.

OSC 3 - Third.png

Landing in third place is @Suchomimus with Aurora Australis Band! He took a very unique approach to the prompt, and it was great to see an expansion on the DisneySky lore showing how much love their is for the things that make this forum special. The project itself is solid with plenty of backstory, and a unique offering to entertain guests at the park.

OSC 2 - Second.png

In our second place we have @Tony the Tigger with the LGB-Tea Dance at Typhoon Lagoon! The concept is very high energy which is great for a dance party, and gives guests a reason to stay till the end of the park's operating hours into the night! The various sources of entertainment from a DJ, to the drag queens, to even a character for guests to interact with. It's a great way to celebrate being LGBTQIA+ the Disney way!

OSC 1 - First.png

Landing in first place is @mharrington with Mickey's Splashdance Party! This concept was able to create a unique dance party thanks to its water elements while working in some classic Disney nostalgia for those who grew up with the Splashdance album. The concept overall perfectly captured classic Disney while still throwing a beach bash. Great job!

These reviews are for the second challenge of the finale, The Perfect Picnic.

Sweet Shores by @Chaos Cat
The name itself is cute given its location, and one could never go wrong with some ice cream. This acts as a great opposite to Pineapple Lanai at Polynesian Village allowing for monorail resort guests to have two great frozen treat locations.

The Chocolate Factory by @Disney Warrior
While Ample Hills has been replaced in both locations the resort hotel location was replaced by a rather generic offering, and this new concept is a great way to bring something new and original to that very location. Chocolate shops are rather popular as proven with the Ganachery and Toothsomes, and with the variety of products offered I can see this being a guest favorite.

Tierra de los Muertos by @MickeyMouse10
While I'm not sure if a cemetery is the best setting for a dining area the land of the dead itself sure is given its surprisingly warm and inviting atmosphere. With that said I appreciate the renovation of the Mercado de Coronado, and I do think Coco is the perfect IP for this resort.

Marlin's by @Brer Panther
A Pixar themed restaurant is a great fit for well the Pixar Pier Resort, and in addition making it a seafood restaurant is a subtle way for it to be tied to the ocean themed that the pier conveys. I think seafood is a good choice as it matches the ocean setting of Finding Nemo, and the IP itself sticks out from the typical Pixar restaurants of Pizza Planet of Remy's.

Chapek’s KwikServ Cantina by @OvertheHorizon
Okay I know this is supposed to be a joke submission, but I actually really love the concept of a travelling food truck as a quick service option for guests. This could be valuable during peak seasons at the Values to alleviate stress from their quick service, and of course offer unique menus with a high and slendering portion sizes ;)

Tiana's Palace by @cdunlap
Again would have loved more details here, but Tiana's Palace is a solid idea for a new dinning location.

Woodlore's Kitchen by @mharrington
Humphrey and Woodlore are classic Disney characters that haven't gotten as much love since the House of Mouse, and it's great to see these little details that keep their legacy alive. The menu is the typical quick service fare, but the Handwhich does elevate the menu to something truly special.

Herbie Goes Bananas by Dole by @Tony the Tigger
First off Dole makes sense as the sponsor given their recent collaborative efforts with Disney, and honestly may be part of the reason why Chiquita pulled out from the Land. The setting itself is quirky yet some classic Disney fun by working in one of Disney's most beloved yet often forgotten about cars. The menu itself stands apart from the rest of the resort thanks to the banana concept, and with that unique twist it's sure to draw the attention of guests.

Lederhosen Luncheon by @Evilgidgit
While a small footprint this offering is a nice compliment to other snack bars and carts in the area while providing for a menu full of familiar items, but with a twist to make them exciting enough for those who don't want just a 'burger'.

Food Truck Fest by @Tegan pilots a chicken
With Caribbean Beach's positioning as the hub for the Skyliner, and the uniqueness of this offering I could see this being a hit for guests all over the Skyliner system. I'm more surprised this wasn't something implemented at this resort earlier given how construction left this resort without a proper quick service. With the diverse amount of food trucks on hand I can see many guests being excited to try the various food offerings that are unique to the event.

Carolwood Pacific Smokehouse by @Suchomimus
On my most recent visit to Fort Wilderness I discovered that railroad tracks and other train related paraphernalia that existed as my family and I wandered around the resort after dining at Whispering Canyon. Expanding on that theming around the resort is a great way to build onto the backstory the resort carries, and bringing in an inhouse smokehouse is a fantastic way to bring in more classic cuisine that the US is known for.

It's a good thing I did these reviews after a full stomach as y'all were able to create some amazing sounding quick services. With that in mind it's time for the ranking of second challenge of the finale, The Perfect Pinic!

OSC 4 - Honorable.png

As our honorable mention we have @Tegan pilots a chicken with the Food Truck Fest! Caribbean Beach was a great choice for this concept given that it is very easy to get to from six other resorts giving this the potential to be a memorable experience for guests. With that said if there a bit more detail, perhaps what kind of food trucks would be present, this could have ranked higher.

OSC 3 - Third.png

In third place we have @Brer Panther with Marlin's! This concept is a great fit for the Pixar Pier Hotel thanks to not only the Finding Nemo tie-in, but the seafood menu which is some good synergy to match the resort's name. It also gives the franchise some more love on the West Coast, and diversifies what many may think of when it comes to a Pixar based restaurant.

OSC 2 - Second.png

In second place we have @Tony the Tigger with Herbie Goes Bananas by Dole! I have to say I love the name, but beyond that I'm a big fan of how everything is tied into the banana menu. While some may worry about banana being too repetitive, it all depends on how its prepared as it can be a very diverse taste which is what your menu manages to capture.

OSC 1 - First.png

In first place we have @Suchomimus with the Carolwood Pacific Smokehouse! This proposal is loaded with details that ties into the established narrative at the Wilderness Lodge, and plusses it pulling guests further into the story of this railway. The details throughout the proposal makes this feel lie an authentic Disney project, that would blend in perfectly with the resort. Great job!

These reviews are for the third challenge of the finale, Tropic Like It's Hot.

Rhythms of Life by @Chaos Cat
A solid new entertainment offering that feels like the proper scale of grandeur that's fit for the park's icon. However the show does feel very reminiscent to the Festival of the Lion King which presents similar content with a different dressing, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing as Festival of the Lion King is considered by many a must do thanks to the very things you outlined. Overall a great job, and would love to have more detail on this project.

The Jungle Book: The Musical by @Disney Warrior
The upgrades to the Theater of the Wild is much appreciated as it currently stands it's rather generic so any plusses are a benefit. Jungle Book is a beloved film, and doesn't have much presence in the parks. This musical sounds great as it combines many of the elements that made Finding Nemo beloved, but adds in the charm of songs that everybody already knows.

Disney's Into the Wild by @MickeyMouse10
With Rivers of Light having been gone for a while, and the parks getting back to pre Covid levels of buisness it is time for Animal Kingdom to have a new nighttime show to keep guests in the park. The World of Color concept with just animal IPs is a nice approach, is close to what Disney attempted with Rivers of Light: We Are One yet it was misguided due to its lack of cohesiveness. However, a new show created from the ground up could solve these issues while harnessing the love many have for this IP.

Dinosaur: The Musical by @Brer Panther
I do think a stage show with dinosaurs would be a great thing to entertain guests as many would marvel in the large lifelike puppets. A musical could work with these puppets too I can see working as well in a Tarzan sort of way. Not sure about those monkeys though they may just throw guests off, but then again Zini gets all the love he deserves! Just look at him!

1659329248181.png

Disney's finest character!

Colors of the Wild by @OvertheHorizon
This concept is unique as it combines classical music that many may recognize, and matching these music pieces alongside classic works of Disney music is a great way to keep guests interested through audio. In addition the lanterns, LEDs, bubbles, and fountains all being able to be manipulated by light and motion while in sync sounds like a spectacle for the eyes and a big wow moment that was missing from Rivers of Light.

Antonio's Animal Showcase by @TwilightZone
With how popular Encanto has remained since its release its odd how Disney has been dragging its feet with the IP at Disney World where as in Disneyland Mirabel is meetable in both parks alongside with a projection show. This new entertainment offering seamlessly works in the IP in a logical way to the park, and feels very at home in the park matching the edutainment vibe that these animal presentations often have.

Encanto Funhouse by @cdunlap
This is a time I wish there was more information as what is an Encanto Funhouse? How does it fit within the greater scheme of Animal Kingdom? How does it count as an entertainment offering?

Journey Into the Jungle Book by @mharrington
Nice to see some love for this short loved show, and the upgraded costumes for the animal characters are much appreciated given how funky they looked originally.

Kingdoms of the World by @Tony the Tigger
While this is inspired by Illuminations and Rivers of Light its clear that this project has its own original identity. I admire how the show is able to convey the various ecosystems that make up our natural world, and the way the volcano really jumpstarts the show and constantly changes to show off each biome is a unique eye catching feature. The drones acting a finale was a great to work in a big oomph moment that is much appreciated.

The Wonders of Nature by @Evilgidgit
Pocahontas and Grandmother Willow are great characters to act as a foil to create an adventure through the animal world that is supplemented by the magic of Disney. The various effects utilized throughout the show is able to make this show a proper spectacular while not overwhelming guests too much.

OH GOD THE METROIDs ARE LOOSE RUN!! by @Tegan pilots a chicken
Well that's one way to lower wait times for Flight of Passage!

Beastlie Parade by @Suchomimus
It's been a long time since Animal Kingdom held a proper parade, and the inclusion of mythical creatures is nice to see as it delivers on the park's promise on fantastical animals in the park. The various sizes of creatures presented through various means such as puppetry and animatronics is nice. In the end though I'm not truly sure if this is a parade or more like streetmosphere like the Merry Menagerie.

OSC Results.png

Y'all sure know how to have a good time with all of these entertainment offerings I struggle to see how guests would fail to be entertained. With that in mind it's time for the ranking of third challenge of the finale, Tropic Like It's Hot!

OSC 4 - Honorable.png

This challenge's honorable mention goes out to @TwilightZone with Antonio's Animal Showcase! This project nailed the integration of a popular IP within the park while still staying true to the park's identity. However, what held it back is the fact that this seems like a smaller scale animal demonstration and it may disappoint guests after going through the expansive queue and entering the detailed theater to get a regular animal presentation. I think this would have been solid as an offering somewhere in The Oasis, Discovery Island or Rafiki's Planet Watch where it can happen organically not needing a proper theater.

OSC 3 - Third.png

In third place is @Suchomimus with Beastlie Parade! This is a neat concept that's held back a bit by the fact that it's a bit vague on whether if it's a true parade or part parade and streetmosphere. That said the various critters on display offer a spectrum of unique designs that would be able to interact with guests in different ways that are sure to be love by guests.

OSC 2 - Second.png

In second place it's @OvertheHorizon with Colors of the Wild! The combination of classical music with Disney music is a great way to seamlessly tie together various themes that guest can react to. In particular one aspect from the project that sounds like it would translate well into the park are the lanterns which would be an amazing visual accompanied by the fountains and LEDs.

OSC 1 - First.png

In first place it's @Tony the Tigger with Kingdoms of the World! This entertainment offering manages to capture the majesty that Illuminations brought with the beauty that Rivers of Light offered to viewers. This is an original take for a nighttime show with the volcano centerpiece being a unique way to present the show's content with an ever changing structure thanks to the rising and lowering levels. The celebration of each of the world's ecosystems, and the presentation of each is great.

We made it everybody, these are the final set of the reviews for this competition.

Tomorrow Tower at the Disneyland Hotel by @Chaos Cat
It's great to see DVC being expanded at the Disneyland Resort, and Tomorrowland getting some love at the resort is nice to see. The cycling range of art is a great way to keep the Tomorrow aspect fresh as it always had been an issue with the land itself.

Disney's Royal Dubai Resort by @Disney Warrior
Dubai continues to receive more and more attention from the leisure world as the city continues to push more and more into that sector to further expand its economy. Disney being brought in would make sense, and it being a resort would be a logical way to keep the scale small enough to be realistic to build. Positioning this as a true top tier resort positioning each guest into their own royal story, and allows for it thus to stand out from other DVC options.

Disney's White Mountains Lodge by @MickeyMouse10
A lodge is a common concept for bluesky DVC thanks to the attractiveness of the concept, and the natural beauty that surrounds these lodges that includes a variety of outdoor activities. Solid idea!

Wilderness Lodge DVC by @Brer Panther
The resort does have DVC, but that doesn't mean it can't receive more evident by the Polynesian receiving many DVC expansions.

DVC Conestoga by @OvertheHorizon
This is a very unique take on what classifies as a resort stay, but much like the treehouses this is a concept that is classic Disney. The amenities of the room while minimal is perfect for those who don't plan on being on the room much, and rather explore the resort and parks.

Casita by @cdunlap
I would really appreciate more detail for this concept as well. I assume by Casita you meant the house from Encanto, but given the word just means house it could be a DVC concept at any of the resorts that has Hispanic influence.

Tobago DVC at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort by @Tony the Tigger
It's always great to see classic honeymoon traditions with a Disney twist ;)
Caribbean Beach is perfectly set up to house DVC thanks to its specialized resort transportation, plentiful amenities especially when packaged with the Riviera, and plenty of room for said amenities to grow such as watercraft returning.

Ravenswood Winter Retreat, Disneyland Paris by @Brer Panther
It's always nice to see the mythos of the park be expanded, and given the fanbase that surrounds Phantom Manor and its narrative I can see this being popular amongst Disney fans. A bit graphic with the nod to Constance, but at the same time it's that very macabre twist that makes this resort so much more compelling.

Disney's Imagination Resort by @Tegan pilots a chicken
Rumors have been swirling now for years about a resort at Epcot, and tying it the Imagination pavilion is a great way to go down that path given the pavilion lends itself the best to the classic Disney magic many expect. The character dining based around beloved Epcot characters is a great way to bring in the Epcot fans, while still providing a delightful meal for other guests.

Disney's Alpine Villas by @mharrington
Much like the lodges that take advantage of the beautiful environments, this DVC resort embraces nature thanks to its Alps location. It is different enough from other DVC properties and Disney resorts to entice guests to visit, and the offerings that could be held thanks to its Alpine setting is endless.

Beaute de Sud by @Suchomimus
This resort aims to further enhance the Port Orleans area by continue the diverse amount of resorts located their giving the French Quarter and Riverside their DVC counterpart which seems inevitable after Riviera became Caribbean Beach's counterpart. The fully functioning carousel sets the resort apart giving it an iconic amenity that most of these DVC resorts strive to capture.

Y'all made it hard to stay up doing all these reviews and rankings why all of your DVC concepts made me sleepy just thinking of those cozy rooms, comfy beds, and amazing locales. With that in mind it's time for the ranking of fourth challenge of the finale, Summer Slumber!

OSC 4 - Honorable.png

This challenge's honorable mention goes out to @Brer Panther with the Ravenswood Winter Retreat at Disneyland Paris. Haunted Mansion, and by extension Phantom Manor, is one of those theme park properties that guests are dying to be a part of. Much like how guests would kill for a chance to stay at a Tower of Terror Resort, I could see a resort not only tied but expanding on the Phantom Manor lore being a hit with guests. The fact its so tied to the way that the characters used to live is the cherry on top for guests who can enjoy the resort.

OSC 3 - Third.png

In third place it's @Tegan pilots a chicken with Disney's Imagination Resort! Resorts that are in parks are enjoyed by guests given the unique aspect of having the theme park as your view, and with Universal constructing such a hotel as part of Epic Universe. Epcot has some die hard fans who would love to stay in such a hotel, just imagine watching Harmonious from the comfort of your hotel window in your jammies! The various little flourishes to continue the Epcot theme such as the character dining helps to make this a slam dunk for guests.

OSC 2 - Second.png

In second place it's @Disney Warrior their DVC concept, Disney's Royal Dubai Resort, is unique in the way that they treat guests thus transforming each guest into a member of the royal court. The location itself continues to expand as a city with new projects seemingly opening every year giving guests plenty to do outside the resort, and the various amenities described help to keep guests entertained at their home resort as they embrace their royal stay.

OSC 1 - First.png

In first place it's @OvertheHorizon the uniqueness of their DVC concept, DVC Conestoga, is something that captures the classic magic of Disney in a way the company hasn't been able to capture with their last few DVC projects. The lower price point of the DVC counteracts the smaller space guests receive, and the unique resort more than makes up for it especially when combined with the fact it already shares amenities with the wonderful Fort Wilderness.

I want to say thank you to all of those who have competed over the course of the One Sentence Competition: Summer Fun, we have been able to break a One Sentence by having the largest cast to date hitting thirty-one players! Going beyond just numbers though it has been a joy to have been your host for our Summer Fun, and none of this couldn't have happened without every single one you, yes all thirty-one of you, as your ideas helped to fuel this very competition. So before I reveal the final point tally I want leave you all with one last message...

Oh, man. I've missed the finales, I don't know what next competition soon? Dang it!
