Round Two Critiques:
@TwilightZone – Litwak’s Arcade
Nice! I can appreciate a good video arcade and making one based on the arcade from Wreck-It Ralph would help give it more a draw for guests, along with having some original games they can’t play anywhere else.
@Solaris Knight – Vanellope’s Sweets and Treats
Oh, interesting! Taking something from one of the Disney cruise ships is a surprise, but Vanellope’s does offer a menu of treats that could really give Tomorrowland a restaurant of its own to stand out. Plus, King Candy would make for a fun living character.
@DisneyManOne – Wreck-It Ralph: Virus Alert!
I know simulators can be a sore spot for some, but I like a good simulator and this is a property where I can see one working. Jumping through the game worlds would be a natural fit for this type of attraction and offer a good thrill for guests. Simulators are a little under-utilized at Disney, and this works.
@Ludpat Mike – Wreck-It Ralph: Shoot ‘n Rush
Video games are known for their interactivity, so it’s nice to see an attraction that would take advantage of that. The candy-themed scenery would offer some great visuals, and a mix of screens and practical effects offers neat possibilities. Overall, a great idea for an improvement over Space Ranger Spin.
@Evilgidgit – Game Central Station
Now, this is a fun idea! Each of the games from the film get a chance to shine, complete with creating a thematic link to the Tron attraction. To be honest, Tomorrowland is kind of a muddled mess theme-wise, so this would give at least some identity to the land, even just as a sub-land.
@Brer Panther – Sugar Rush Speedway
I’m not a fan of Tomorrowland Speedway, but this would make for such a huge improvement. The Sugar Rush races are well-remembered sequences from the film, and this capitalizes on them along with an interactive component in the queue and something more visually interesting to see versus the dull nothingness of the current Speedway. Good thinking.
@NateD1226 – Kart Bakery
What fun! The “Making a Kart” scene might be one of the smaller moments from the movie, but it is a charming sequence that makes for some solid inspiration here. The menu sounds fun as well. The “build-your-own kart” gingerbread box set is a neat idea, but I feel like there could be a customizable food option in the restaurant as well to further drawn from the scene.
@spacemt354 – Ralph Wrecks the Information Center
Interesting idea. This would offer a more engaging approach for learning about the Disney vacation club than just getting some brochures. Plus, this digital space takes advantage of the Tomorrowland setting for a space that feels more futuristic.
@TheSquirrel – Wreck-It Ralph: Grid Express
Another short and concise pitch. An indoor coaster passing through these games would make for a solid thrill, even as that would bring Tomorrowland’s coaster count up to three. I will say, though, that I appreciate you adding the cliffs on the Fantasyland side to help make a smoother transition between lands.
@Pi on my Cake – Pi Presents: The Pixel Path
I think I see a trend forming. In any case, this is a neat idea. Pixel art can be very lovely, and it would make for a nice aesthetic on a walking path. It’s a small and simple idea, which can fit around the Tron area.
@b-wolf95 – Game Central VR Station
Wow. This is a heck of an idea. It steps up with some modern tech to offer a new immersive experience, even if the idea of an upcharge might scare off some guests. That said, the potential with these VR experiences along with the partnership of a serious VR firm shine a light on something really fresh in Tomorrowland. Plus, you’ve actually offered something as a replacement for Stitch’s Great Escape!, so kudos there.
@tcool123 – Hero’s Doodie
Okay, this is a fun little gag. If there’s anything that could get someone to finish their business quickly, it’s Jane Lynch screaming at you to hustle.
@Disneylover152 – The Peoplemover: Under New Management
Oh, this is a neat idea. Ralph and Vanellope are engaging characters, and they could offer some fun new personality to the Peoplemover. It’s an attraction that some guests might pass over, so this could draw some foot traffic towards something a bit neglected.
@pix – Sugar Rush Kart Bakery
Another take on the “Making a Kart” scene, but this one stands out a little more to me. Though it’s a little light on the menu compared to the other, the idea of making a custom kart in-store as either a snack or toy makes a fun little interactive experience for guests. Nice thinking.
