Challenge 5:
Fleeing Azkaban

Replacing Fear Factor: Live in 2025 at Universal Studios Florida an entirely new indoor roller coaster experience will open, themed to you escaping the prison Azkaban.

As you take a London Wizard Tour, which is a tour like Ghost Tours but with wizards, you get caught by the London police and are thrown into the prison Azkaban with an entire set of new characters never before seen in any Harry Potter book or movie.

Using the 4D Free Spin coaster idea with an entirely new track, you get to escape the prison Azkaban, and fly back to the street in London, passing by a mix of screens and practical effects telling you this original story with original characters based on the wizarding world.

Bonus: A permanent Hyperspace Mountain will open in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios, in 2024, with the same storyline but with additional projections and practical effects/sets that are original to this Hyperspace Mountain.

Azkaban to me sounds like the perfect setting for a Harry Potter area to rival Disney's upcoming slate, I really like the idea of it, the Ghost Tour sounds to me like a great, and an extremely original one, plus it expands the Harry Potter canon, so I think just that makes it a really good proposal. And the 4D Spin Coaster would be a huge hit, and would also be a slap in Disney's face for their GOTG attraction, as this would be more themed from the sounds of it! Great Job, I really liked it!

Bonus: A SW Coaster is a great idea! +1

Harry Potter and the Magic of the Real World
Replacing Fear Factor LIVE! is an expansion to the current Harry Potter Land, a new building that houses a dark ride where you and Harry Potter are venturing London invisibly, while also playing small, subtle pranks. This fun ride uses both projections and animatronics, and takes place mostly in the dark. This light-hearted dark ride can be enjoyed by any person, with no height restrictions.

Bonus:
The next ride for SW:GE is a classic Dumbo-type ride, where you fly on the Death Star, and will somehow tie in with the story and market of the land. (I honestly had a real hard time with this, and it’s just a bonus)

Harry Potter definitely needs a Dark Ride for all family, as that's part of the appeal of the franchise, but Comcast is so into Thrills, that we haven't seen one yet, if only JK gave the rights to Disney, it would have been a different story, I'm honestly interested on how Disney would have handled it, maybe my next Imagineering Project when I have time, nevertheless, I think this is a brilliant idea, as it's fun, and would definitely be an improvement over their last ride, Fast and Furious, while also expanding the Wizarding World of HP, and fitting right into the Studio design of the park!

Bonus: This sounds like a million dollar idea, it would be fun and simple. +1

Challenge 4:

Gonzo and the Quest for the Abobible Snowman! (The name is not a typo)

Similar to the unused idea to put autopia at the base of Test Track as a junior version of that ride, a junior coaster near Expedition Everest will be built as a younger kids focused version of the mountain. Functionally as better themed version of the barnstormer, this ride has guests join Gonzo on his quest to find the Abobible Snowman. The other Muppets are positive this name is a typo, but Gonzo stubbornly refuses to admit that he wrote the wrong name for the monster down.

Bonus

Replacing Shrek 4D will be the Universal Preview Center, a showcase of upcoming movie, television, and theme park projects coming soon from Comcast Universal.

Challenge 5:

Weasley Wizard Weezes presents:
A Very Potter Musical!

A very short and simplified adaptation of the popular YouTube fan musical, A Very Potter Musical, created throufh a partnership between Team Starkid and universal Creative will be shown in the new Diagonal Alley Theater. The in universe explanation for the very tonight in cheek, loving parody of the first four books existing in the world of Harry Potter is that the Hogwarts Drama Club is putting on a stage show about the Tri Wizard Tournament and Fred & George agreed to sponsor it... In exchange for full creative control. Large magic mirror (screens) will see characters from the movies such as Hermione, Neville, and McGonnagal pop in and complain or comment about the inaccuracies in between scenes (including Malfoy promising his father will hear about this).

Bonus

Pew pew pew pew Buzz Lightyear is moved here and rethemed as Resistance training pew pew pew pew pew pew pew pew
Challenge 4 - I do like the idea on paper for a junior version of an attraction but I'm not sure Everest was the best option for space purposes and also just thematic consistency with Serka Zong. The realism and authenticity of that subarea adding Muppets to the region might seem a bit jarring - but overall a neat concept to expand upon going forward.

Bonus +1

Challenge 5 - This is fantastic - very clever and funny to have this be a partnership. I can't see it ever being done, but the creativity of it being in Diagon Alley is pretty cool now all you need are the Potter Puppet Pals and we'll be good to go!

Bonus +1

Harry Potter Wizarding Fairgrounds
Reminiscent of the World Quidditch Cup campgrounds and the TriWizard Maze, this Wizarding-World's World's-Fair brings a bit of Epcot World Showcase to Universal.

The HPW Fairgrounds will have tents/booths from various wizarding centers from the books and movies showcasing their unique cuisine (and tricksy merchandise!) along with the usual wandering magickal characters, entertainment, and special FX.

Included is a playground for the kids that will be a hedgemaze filled with all sorts of interactive gadgets and animatronic creatures atop the hedges giving advice and an occasional good-natured taunt.

Landspeeder Driver's Test

Coruscant doesn't let just any back-planet citizen drive an X-34 without a license, no, you get to sit in a landspeeder (simulator with various levels of difficulty) while your droid copilot tests your proficiency driving through many unexpected hazards so as to walk away with your license... and alive.

Whoa, just whoa, this proposal is really interesting, it really sells to me a unique Harry Potter Experience, that honestly would be loved by fans, and become a new model for Universal interactive areas, as this is highly themed, and would further immerse guests into the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, hopefully one Comcast builds something like this, as it sets the bar higher, and is truly magical!

Bonus: Sounds like an incredible Star Wars Ride. +1

I forgot where I saw it, but I did read an article a few months ago about Disney's plans for Harry Potter. I'll try to find it, it was interesting. It was supposed to be on the site of New Fantasyland and be more about the books/mythical creatures rather than Harry Potter.

Plan:
  1. Make Harry Potter ride.
  2. Remove Harry Potter from the ride.
  3. Profit.

I like that this ride has a fun backstory, and overall it feel like a simple and effective addition for the Muppets in AK, also I will say that I would like the idea of something like this, as many of my family members aren't big fans of thrill rides, so they can enjoy that while I enjoy Expedition Everest, so, from that perspective I think it is a solid addition for the park! Incredible work 3.1416!

Bonus: Sounds realistic. +1

That musical was really funny, and I feel like this could be an interesting take on it, as it also has a backstory that justifies it, and helps make Hogwarts feel more relatable by having a Drama Club, so I think it's also very creative, although, it's probably we wouldn't see, as JK is very strict about the branding in theme parks!

Bonus: I love SW Shooting Galleries!+1

I would appreciate that! I got curious but I couldn't find it! I'm sure it would have been better than what currently is in Uni. It's not bias, it's just that look at Pandora and SW:GE, however those wouldn't have happened without HP!

While a bit derivative of Kilimanjaro Safari, given the Great Muppet Movie Ride and GMR, we figured we would acknowledge this fun idea with a mention.

CHALLENGE 6
20th CENTURY FOX

20th-Century-Fox-2009-twentieth-century-fox-film-corporation-25921793-1920-1080.jpg

-Background Information-

Disney is in the process to acquire assets from 21st Century Fox, such as the rights that Fox has over the OG Star Wars Trilogy, the rest of the Marvel Characters, and plenty of other franchises such as Avatar, Alien, War of the Planet of the Apes, and more.

-Challenge-
In this, the challenge, you’ll be tasked to create a highly immersive dinning experience for any of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks, it can be based on any of the Intellectual Properties within the Fox repertoire, however, it can't be based around Avatar as that would be too easy. Also, you must specify where it will be going, and you can dream as big as you want, it could be on an even bigger scale than the space restaurant or the Star Wars cantina.

-Bonus-
As a Bonus, design a themed experience for Universal that is themed around an Intellectual Property that they currently don't own.

-Rules-
You may use between 1 and 3 sentences and up to 1 image/1 video. For the bonus you may use 1 sentence. The deadline is Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 10:59 PM EST. Critiques will come shortly after, with Challenge 7 being posted at Thursday, July 19th, 2018 at 11:59 PM EST.

-Tips-

K.I.S.S. – Keep it simple, silly. Try not to complicate or overthink things too much. It’s a simple, casual competition – there are no eliminations. Propose as you please!

-Judging Criteria-

Is it creative?
Does it accomplishes everything within the challenge guidelines?
Is it realistic?

-Reminders-

This prompt will be a points prompt. As a reminder, everyone who submits something as well as follows the rules will get 1 point. 3 awards are given for each challenge. The three awards are Bronze (+1 points), Silver (+2 points), and Gold (+3 points). Additionally, everyone who answers the Bonus receives an extra point.

Dinner at the McAllisters
tmg-article_default_mobile;jpeg_quality=20.jpg

Replacing Mama Melrose's in Hollywood Studios is an all new restaurant/show experience themed to Home Alone, where your party goes to eat at the McAllister residence. However, burglars are breaking into the house while you are eating. Thankfully, Kevin has set up traps throughout the house, so you get to see them in action against the burglars, to paint cans to flamethrowers to ornaments, there is something for everybody.

Bonus: It turns out that what's replacing T2:3D is a show called The Crescendolls - LIVE, a show based on the movie Interstella 5555, the show will have holograms of the band performing 4 of their songs; "One More Time" will always play at the start, and 3 are randomized.

Digital World Diner
01a5cc1d277bbcc4a6c1420281e1ef2b.jpg

Replacing cosmic ray's starlight cafe, this immersive dining experience will take guests in the digital world from digimon. Guests will enjoy a Japanese style experience with foods themed to different characters from the movie, similar to what's offered at kirby cafe and the sonic anniversary cafe. To compensate for the loss of sonny eclipse, there will be animatronic digimon that will greet the guests with the digidestined.
BONUS: Universal, fearing the loss of the ultimate IP: spongebob, will replace terminator with spongebob's nicktoon blast, a spiritual successor to the ultimate ride, Jimmy neutron's nicktoon blast.

The Pagemaster Library Luncheon
27860915_3_l.jpg

Within the UK Pavilion in Epcot, is The Pagemaster Library Luncheon, based on the 1994 Fox/Turner film, set within a grand British library, the entrance decorated by lion statues, and has a domed roof. There are four themed dining halls, the central rotunda where a beautiful painting of the titular Pagemaster is, and three separate, immerseive wings, set within the Horror, Adventure, and Fantasy sections of the library. Here, the worlds of literature bleed into reality, taking guests into various mixed worlds of various stories, with set menus to match - the Horror section resembles a spooky graveyard-turned-dungeon, the Adventure section is set within a pirate village that uses special effects and forced perspective to create illusion of being by the sea, and the Fantasy section is set in a fairy forest, plagued by a gigantic, animatronic dragon.

(Note: I am aware that The Pagemaster is set in America, but I thought it would fit in well in the UK pavilion, since the film is celebrating a mostly British literature).

Bonus - Replacing the recently departed Terminator attraction is "Bucky O'Hare and the Toad Wars", an on-ride shooter in which guests join the crew of the Righteous Indignation, led by Bucky himself, on their ongoing war against the evil Toad Empire!
