Disneylover152: So… Rafiki’s Planet Watch, with goats? Sounds fun for people who aren’t allergic to goats, but I am. Your work is so amazing, I don’t know what to say. Brilliant ideas! LOL. Thanks for making myself laugh so hard. (P.S. This is a joke right, if not I'll be happy to write you a real review)

DisneyForever: COMING SOON!

Bonus: No bonus?
Lol half the petting zoo already is goats. My little cousin spent a solid fifteen minutes filling up all available memory on my phone filming a goat chewing on a pole while my cousin laughed hysterically at Pole Goat haha.

Walt Disney Studios Park Paris

Welcome to a Hollywood Backlot. Like Hollywood Studios represents the Hollywood that never was, while bringing movies to life, this theme park doesn’t even attempt that. Instead it’s just an ugly backlot with a few rides, including the highly rated Ratatouille ride. This park is dedicated to the movie making process, but that will all be changing soon!

-Background Information-
Walt Disney Studios Park is known as the worst Disney Park around the world. With it being visually appealing, lacking rides and restaurants, as well as Disney Park entertainment, this park is overdue for a massive overhaul.

Thankfully, Disney is giving the park its much needed overhaul. The overhaul will bring new lands themed to Marvel, Star Wars, and Frozen, as well as a new lake area bringing a nighttime spectacular area for the park. But one of the major things noticed in the concept art is the excessive amount of expansion pads.

-Challenge-
Create a new, highly immersive IP land to be added in one of the expansion pads around the lake. Make it as immersive as Star Wars- Galaxy’s Edge will be. It can use any property in the world, 3rd party or Disney-owned. But it must be based off of a previously existing property that is/will not be represented in the Walt Disney Studios Park. It must follow the current Disney themed-land format, having two rides, a restaurant, and gift shop with a highly immersive experience.

-Rules-
You may use between 1 and 5 sentences and up to 1 image. It’s an entire land, you will need all the sentences you can get! The deadline is Monday, April 23, 2018 at 8:59pm EST. Critiques will come following at 11pm EST.

-Bonus-
Create a new highly immersive hotel to accompany your new highly immersive themed land. Connect it to the land, like the Star Wars Hotel.

-Tips-
K.I.S.S. – Keep it simple, silly. Try not to complicate or overthink things too much. It’s a simple, casual competition – there are no eliminations. Propose as you please!

-Judging Criteria-
Creativity- Is it creative?
“The Big Picture”- Do you make the most of your sentences allotted? Do I understand what your submission is about? Do you mention the beginning and end of the ride?
Realism- Is it (generally) realistic? Is it something Disney will/could build? Are there patents related to your submission?
Theme- Does it fit thematically? Does it fit visually?
Originality- Is it original?
Effort- Is effort shown?

-Reminders-
This prompt will be a points prompt. As a reminder, everyone who submits something as well as follows the rules will get 1 point. 3 awards are given for each challenge. The three awards are Bronze (+1 points), Silver (+2 points), and Gold (+3 points). Everyone who submits gets a point, but Bronze, Silver, and Gold winners get additional points.

Reminder that prompts are due at 8:59pm EST. Reviews come at 11pm EST with the next prompt coming at Midnight EST.

IP stands for Intellectual Property.

Follow the rules, posted here!

Good luck everyone! If you have questions, don’t be afraid to ask. Now go imagineer!

As part of the multi-year expansion coming to Walt Disney Studios Park, we have revealed in the past that we were bringing Frozen, Star Wars, & Marvel themed lands, however there’s one more to land reveal, and with the announcement of a Coco sequel coming to the theaters in 2023, we decided to announce that Santa Cecilia is also coming to Walt Disney Studios Park as the last phase of this magnificent expansion, opening in Fall 2023!

Santa Cecilia is one of the gemstones of imagineering, as you'll not only visit Santa Cecilia but also an indoor version of the Land of the Dead, we can’t wait for you to experience it, as it’s definitely one of the most immersive lands ever designed, you’ll be transported into this charming small town of México, where you’ll be able to find plenty of references to the movie, the Mexican culture, and the beautiful tradition of the Day of the Dead; the land will be located between Toon Studio and Arendelle.

Within Santa Cecilia, you can visit Dining & Shopping experiences like La Fonda de Elena, which after the success it had in the Disney Cruise Line, that is making it's theme park debut, this restaurant will charm you with a taste of Mexico, or Chicharrón's a store where you’ll be able to find exclusive Coco themed merchandise, and Mexican inspired goodies.

Within this immersive land you’ll be able to find a whip ride, which was originally going into Toy Story Land, but was scrapped in favor of a more immersive version of the ride located in the Land of Dead; while on El Vuelo de Pepita, your ride vehicle will be painted in Dante's Alebrije colors, while the whipping vehicle has a Miguel AA mounted over Pepita!

However, the main event of this land is Coco's Musical Fiesta, an E-Ticket Family Friendly Coaster, where Dante guides you from the Rivera household, where Miguel is singing Remember Me during the Day of the Dead in honor to his late Mamá Coco, to the Land of Dead, and from the moment you cross over the Marigold Bridge, you'll be fully immersed into an experience out of this world, that you won't want to miss; you board this experience in the Land of the Living, but you when you exit it, you're in the Land of the Dead, the other way to enter to the Land of the Dead, is by crossing a Marigold Bridge hidden in a tunnel between La Fonda de Elena & Coco's Musical Fiesta.

Bonus:
A brand new Land of the Dead themed Hotel will be built in Disneyland Paris Resort, it will be anchored to the indoor section of this new land that is themed to the place where the souls of the departed lie, this hotel will immerse you in an undying Fiesta, and from the window of your room you'll be able to watch alebrijes fly, and the beautiful sights of the Land of the Dead.

This is going to be fun! I'm planning on a Zootopia themed land between Frozen and Toy Story, just pinning down logistics :D

[EDIT]
The map is totally not to scale, but it hopefully gives you an idea

  • Z-mart - for all your Zootopia shopping needs! Keep your eyes open for Gazelle; it's rumoured she shops here!
The Bonus - Sahara Square Hotel
Hop on the Zootopia bullet train [which using screen based technology to simulate travel] to get to the fabulous Sahara Square Hotel, built in the shape of a palm tree and commanding fantastic views of both DLP and WDSP!

Halloween Town
latest
After building lands themed to Frozen, Star Wars, and Marvel, Disney decides to give Walt Disney Studios Paris a new land themed to the 1993 cult classic The Nightmare Before Christmas. Walk into Screamin' Good Gifts, a shop where you can buy Nightmare Before Christmas Merchandise. Grab a bite at Boogie's, an immersive restaurant inside Oogie Boogie's lair. Have a tour through Dr. Finkelstein's Lab, an EMV dark ride showcasing the doctor's unusual and strange creations. And inside the town hall lies The Nightmare Before Christmas: The Ride, a trackless dark ride telling the events of the film.

Bonus: Adjacent to the land, the Halloween Town Inn will be built, providing an immersive hotel experience for the guests, the hotel will be connected to the new land via bridge.

Taking inspiration from Carl Barks' celebrated stories, guests can explore every street of Duckburg, from the suburbs where Donald dwells to the ritzy downtown, the seedy criminal back alleys, the city park with its statue of founder Cornelius Coot, and more, encountering (and even chatting with) walkaround duck characters ranging from the famous to the obscure!

Money Bin Break-In is an interactive shooter dark ride which sees guests aboard Gyro Gearloose's "Paul Bunyan Machines" defending Scrooge's Money Bin (home to three cubic acres of cash) from an all-out heist by the Beagle Boys, Magica De Spell, Flintheart Glomgold and other baddies.

Crash Course Quack unites Donald Duck and Launchpad McQuack (and guests) on their latest high-flying treasure hunt to one of many randomized exotic locations (such as Shangri-La, Cibola, Atlantis or the Klondike) in an exciting family-friendly flight simulator.

Lastly, guests may dine at Chez Rockerduck, where Duckburg's elite meet to eat in Gilded Age splendor, and shop at Gyro Gearloose's Workshop, finding duck-themed merchandise and interactive gizmos aplenty.

Monstropolis

View attachment 279437

As part of the multi-year expansion coming to Walt Disney Studios Park, we have revealed in the past that we were bringing Frozen, Star Wars, & Marvel themed lands, however there’s one more to land reveal, and with the official release of Monsters: The Series at Disney’s Streaming Platform, Moustream™, we decided it’s time to announce that Monstropolis is also coming to Walt Disney Studios Park as the last phase of this magnificent expansion, opening in Fall 2023!

Monstropolis is one of the gemstones of imagineering, and we can’t wait for you to experience it, it’s is definitely one of the most immersive lands ever designed, as you’ll be immersed into this monstrous world, where you’ll be able to find hidden monsters Animatronics all over the place, as well as references to the popular franchise all over the place; the land will be located between Toon Studio and Arendelle.

Within this immersive land you’ll also be able to find a dark ride themed around Monsters University, Scare Games, which will be found at the outskirts of the land, close to a brand new themed hotel, that will redefine the meaning of immersive, as it’s faced will be themed to the School of Scaring.

Monstropolis is also filled with Dining & Shopping experiences like Harryhausen’s, which is one of the most exclusive sushi restaurants in this monstrous world, or you can visit Celia’s Scare Emporium, where you’ll be able to find exclusive Monsters, Inc. themed merchandise.

However, the main event of this land is Monsters, Inc. Door Frenzy, an E-Ticket inverted coaster themed around the acclaimed door pursuit scene from the classic, Monsters, Inc., and with the facade being themed around the Scare Factory, it’s definitely an experience you’ll not want to miss.

Bonus:
Monsters University’s College Dorms will be built as a brand new Hotel for Disneyland Paris Resort, it is will open at the same time as Monstropolis, and it will immersive into a scaretastic College Experience!
There was an slight change of plans, as I wanted to do Pandora, but it felt like just redoing something already done, so I decided to take the long rumored Door Coaster, and build a land around it, and to make the hotel merge better with the land, one of the attractions will be cohesive with the hotel itself!

I just looked at the map for WDSP, and there was a Monsters Inc. themed thing next to the entrance area. It's probably just a meet and greet area. But it's still representation. Sorry dude.

It's a door and a Mike statue, I didn't really thought that it would count as representation as it's quite insignificant for such a big franchise, then I'll go with my contingency plan, San Fransokyo...

Edit: I'm actually going with my initial plan, Coco! Get ready for Santa Cecilia! It did around 33M dollars in there, and I read plenty of great reviews from French people, so yeah, let's go for it!

Streets of London
london streets.jpg

Nestled just a stone's throw away from Galaxy's Edge will be an all-new land themed to London... with not one but three IPs represented. Guests will stroll among the streets of London and encounter two attractions: the first, a rollicking chase through town as you pursue Cruella DeVil in a 101 Dalmatians (animated version)-themed family coaster, then enjoy an all new 2018 E-ticket version of Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, as Toad takes you on adventure on, below and above the streets of London, and last but not least have a charming (and magical) meal at the table-service restaurant "Poppins," where you will enjoy english pub specialties with the happy theming derived from the classic film, and a few special magical things guests will encounter during their meal. The streets will be lined with charming storefonts, some of which house real stores... that double as exit gift shops for the two major attractions.

Bonus: Connected to the land by private entrance is a deluxe resort hotel inspired by the iconic style of the posh hotels of London like the Savoy and the Ritz.
