One Man's Dream not going anywhere?

Well, according to Mouseplanet.com, Walt's office will NOT be returned to Disneyland once the 100 Years of Magic Celebration is over. While this doesn't certify that One Man's Dream will stay, it does tell us that we have his office for the forseeable future. I guess it could be moved to The Magic Kingdom, but I doubt that they would remove an attraction from MGM at this point...

I know I'm going to get in trouble with this but this makes me very upset, if it is true. In my opinion his desk should have stayed at DL to begin with...

Well the display at DS was originally on Mainstreet at the Hospitality house in the 70s. So since they moved back to california in the 80s why do think they would have any problen transfering it back to Main Street? But I suposed since the studios exist today unlike back in the 70s that would ba as good as any place to have it

Defintely see "One Man's Dream". Looking at the models of the various castles is worth it alone. I am a sap. The movie brought a tear to my eye. I am old enough to remember Walt and the Wonderful World of Disney every Sunday night. The history of Disney was fascinating.

I loved One Man's Dream. What really appealed to me was the memorablia and the scale models. I love scale models. I think it is
worth checking out. Especially the Peter Pan Model.

I don't think thats a fair statement. I think just the opposite. They keep so much stuff hidden in the Disney archives, ONLY if you visited the studio, and ONLY if your got clearance, could you see many of these things. By these standards, only a handful of people would ever see them.

Walt touched people all over the world. These items should travel. They deserve to be seen by people in all the parks.

The movie choked me up too. I was born after Walt died, but I've read so much about him that I feel as if I knew him. The displays were really interesting and the movie is touching. Definately not to be missed.
I really hope that they do keep the attraction- I would love to see it again!:)

Is the movie similar to (or the same one) they used to show at the Walt Disney Story near the entrance on main street?

I can't wait to see this new exhibit. It opened one week after my last visit.

IMO the movie is much better than anything I've seen before. The previous movies seemed to candy coat his life. This movie detailed some of his struggles, and failures, and how he over came them. It's more like an "A&E Biography". Extremely well done.

It's definitely worth a visit! I especially liked the old memoribilia from the parks. My husband and I took one look at the stuff from the 70's and went back in time! (Anyone remember those plastic juice containers in the shape of an orange or grape? Or when the gift shop bags were paper with white, orange, and pink colors?) :D

Do they sell this video??? I loved it and (I also got choked up) when they said "It was all started by a mouse" It is just different coming from WALT himself.

This exhibit is unlike any other that the Walt Disney Company has ever done before. The movie is completely new, and is hosted by Eisner. However, it is still worth it. The office issue...
The office sat at the Exposition Hall on WDW Main Street until the mid 80's when it moved to the lobby of Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln on Main Street in DL. The working office has always been on display. Walt's private office, however, makes a rare appearance from time to time. I have seen it at DL, but I was last out here in the early 90's. Most of the collection on display belongs to WDW Imagineering or is part of the archives. Some of the toys displayed belong to the Disney family. I do not remember seeing anyone outside of WDC or the Disney faily have anything on loan, but, to keep this celebration special, the One Man's Dream exhibit was intended to be the focal point of the 100 years Celebration.
