One Man's Dream Expansion?

We enjoy it regularly...like last Thursday

I'd like to hope that Walt would have seen the folly of creating and EPCOT and changed the plan to Epcot like we have today (although I'm sure it would have been MUCH better, and not so neglected as it is today), then gone on to provide the world with world class vacation experiences like we have today. Sure the thought was magnanimous to hopefully change the world for the better by giving it an EPCOT to emulate, but unfortunately cities aren't built this way.
NEVERTHELESS
I agree we need to have something dedicated to Walt Disney
I feel that it belongs back in the Magic Kingdom on Main Street along with Mickey, but CLASSIC Mickey, not Sorcerer Mickey...he belongs at the Studios...although with multiple Mickeys (I would assume), one room could have Black&White Mickey, 2 with Classic, another Fancy/modern.

I think it fits fine at DISNEY HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS. If someday Pixar Land takes over the entire area though I think it would be a nice fit at the Main Street Cinema.

NOW I feel bad for the person who started this thread. This isnt the type of discussion that was supposed to take place here. I have been wondering the same thing actually so could someone please answer this question for all of us regarding the delay in the expanded area?????

I disagree completely. I think had Walt gotten his way and built EPCOT to his vision, the cities we live in and transit systems we have in place today would be far more advanced, and as a country we would be much less dependent on foreign oil, freeing up time and money to devote to other avenues like civil engineering, life sciences and medical research just to name a few.

However, since his early passing, his vision was never truly realized, and we are left to speculate what might have been.

That is a must see stop for me, just like Tower of Terror, and Rockin Roller Coaster. Hollywood Studios is my favorite park. I'm an information freak when it comes to Walt and his history. I've read a bunch of biographies and would own every video produced about his life and dreams if I could find them for sale. I'm ok with it being in Hollywood Studios, and would be fine with it the MK too, just as long as it stayed. I am impressed by the man and his creative genius and ideas. Sometimes he wasn't such a nice person, but the man had an amazing amount of vision.

Hey kids, heard this idea in a different thread and thought it was a capital idea.

Move OMD to the abandon Virgin Mega Store in DTD and make a huge Walt Disney Museum. This way you wont have to pay the park admission to get a little bit of Walt history, it will give you something educational to do at DTD besides eat and shop, and you could make a full day of going to DTD. I mean I would easily pay $40 to go to a Walt Disney Museum rather than buy another Mickey golf shirt. Thoughts?

EDIT: Heres the other thread in case you wanted to read it http://forums.wdwmagic.com/showthread.php?t=664584&referrerid=74582

It would be unthinkable to remove One Man's Dream. I got to see it for the fist time this month. I have always been fascinated with Walt. I would like to go to his family's museum in San Francisco since it's only a 2 hour drive and I fly across the US to go to WDW.

Thank you Walt for all you have done. Your dreams live on in all of us that love everything Disney.

It really is amazing, skimbob. I learned so much about his family and how much he struggled in his youth. He really was a genius who persevered against all odds. The Disneyland model they have there is remarkable. I could watch the attractions for hours there. (some have mild animation).

I think that One Man's Dream does a fine job for what it is. It could use a few more exhibits, but it is still a fine attraction that brings attention to the man behind the mouse.

One Man's Dream does have an awkward spot in DHS (what isn't awkward about the park's layout?). I think it does fit the park, but it could go nice in the Magic Kingdom... If was to go in Epcot, I'd say replace the Imagination Institute with it. :)

I'm not sure I agree with WDW taking his offices from Disneyland. They seemed to have more of an impact here.

And the Walt Disney Family Museum is phenomenal. Any Disney fan would love it.

I think its time WDW gave up OMD and maybe sent it to DL for a change.

There is a tribute to Walt in the DL Opera House..and they do have the Walt Disney family museum out there..... so moving the OMD to California would not only be redundant, but would also be kind of crappy towards the WDW Guests imho
