@D Hulk and whoever else might be interested, here's what I've landed on as far as trips go this year. Thank god for taxes, because I got a direct deposit into my bank account this morning that was enough to book the flights and hotels for each of these trips today (and three days worth of parks tickets for the later one)

June 19 - June 23rd: Lagoon Amusement Park. Yes, after years of talking about it I'm finally making the flight out to Salt Lake to experience the glory that is Cannibal, which WILL through hell or high water become my #100 coaster credit. Going to be arriving mid-day on Sunday, so I'm stoked to have that evening plus two full days on Monday and Tuesday. Should be more than enough time to really explore every inch of the park and get in all the rerides I could want on the major coasters.

September 17th - September 22nd: Universal Studios Florida + Busch Gardens Tampa. I'm breaking this down into three days exploring the Uni parks (going to be staying at Endless Summer) mixed in with one night of HHN and at least one day of Busch Gardens Tampa (the Iron Gwazi credit is seriously too tempting to not go for as soon as I possibly can) If transportation ends up being achievable I MIGHT try for Halloscream at Busch, but that's a big if. Either way, I'm on absolute cloud 9 that this all was able to work out as well as it did.

TDL just announced a seasonal ”Get Wet MAX” version of Splash Mountain! Probably means nothing more than extra water cannons at the drop, but it’s reassuring to know that at least one Splash Mountain doesn’t look like it’s getting rethemed.
I’m very curious to see what exactly this means. I’m trying to go to TDL in August, so hopefully I’ll be able to experience it firsthand. If it’s anything like what Universal does it’ll probably just be turned up water effects and added jets, but I’d hope that Disney would do more.

Yeah, I’m not hoping for much, but it’s reassuring that they’re doing this at all. I doubt they’d add a new seasonal version if they’re planning on retheming it soon.

Plus I believe Tokyo intentionally doesn’t get as wet as the stateside versions, apparently due to the fact that the Japanese tend to dress up when going to Disneyland? Didn’t know that, but an interesting thing to consider. (I’m sure you’d know more about it than me 😂)

Yeah the Japanese really like cosplay. Even at Universal there were a ton of people dressed as Mario and Luigi. An Squid Game characters, weirdly.

This sounds like a great trip - if Guardians is open by September that would be a neat trifecta of new credits with Velocicoaster, Iron Gwazi, and Cosmic Rewind!

Epcot is certainly a possibility especially because it's been a couple Florida trips since doing a full day there (last time I was there was a brief park-hop during the Runaway Railway opening day pretty much just to get a La Cava margarita, ride Three Caballeros, and attend The American Adventure half asleep :p ) I just don't know if I'll have the budget for it especially with the Uber ride...one of the few non-airport ones I'd actually take during the trip. Not to mention I'm low key in boycott mode over the current Disney price gauging and basically wanting to turn the parks into an exclusively upper class destination.

I'm already wanting to spend most of my time at Universal just out of the fact that every trip I take with a Universal day I end up wishing I had more time there. Currently the plan for Uni is one day at Studios (pretty much exclusively for ET, Bourne, and hopefully Mummy if it's back open by then) and then two days IOA. Not even sure what park is doing HHN haha.

That's a fair point - also I'd assume similar to Ratatouille and Rise of the Resistance that Cosmic Rewind will open as a reservation only option which is very stressful for a short trip. Perhaps it's best to focus on Uni/Busch and wait for both Tron and Cosmic to open in approximately 2042 lol

Meanwhile I'm taking a similar break from Disney this year with Six Flags season passes - trying to at least hit 3 parks in the northeast with Kings Dominion as a bonus park before the summer's end.

Sometimes my brain suddenly remembers old projects I did. Today is one of those days lol

Along with loudspeakers on the wall. The loudspeakers will feature humorous dialogue from Mr. Kidswatter, the principal.

I made a new rule! You may no longer say that word. You know what word I mean — but don’t say it! Instead, I have made up a new word for you: ‘Goozack.’
In the queue, guests climb up to the 30th floor, which thanks to this being a ride, is a short walk.
PRESHOW
The preshow will have guests see some of the kids of Mrs. Jewls' class talking about the fire drill that they were about to have, and how afraid they were that the school will fall down. The bell rings and gusts enter the class.
RIDE
Guests sit in the "special fire drill safety seats" while a cast member playing the role of Louis the yard teacher checks every seat, he leaves. Mrs. Jewls goes over the fire safety rules the school has, including ducking, her ringing her bell so the kids know where she's at, and a helicopter saving them. Outside the window, there is a big thunder storm which crashes into the school. This is the first drop. The kids start screaming and Mrs. Jewls starts ringing her bell. Then a tornado arrives and sweeps up the school, this is drop 2. More ringing and more screaming. Then a fire starts. This is drops 3 and 4. The school is now transported to Hollywood Studios, then picked up by the tornado again, this is drop 5 and 6. Then the principal starts screaming:
