8pm pst is 11pm Eastern... This announcement would really be nothing for them to make it when half the country is asleep.

They do have a marketing department correct!??
Even if they release it at 9 or 10 eastern time, 8 or 9 central, it makes no sense. This is obviously a nerdy business centric announcement. But still why so late? They could have made an announcement at 5 and still would have been news when everyone wakes up, if that’s what they are going for.

I agree, the lateness of this announcement has me convinced it's nothing to get very excited about. Still fun to speculate I guess.
