Once you go Disney, you don't go back.

I love the Disney H2O parks.
I've visited many others. Including Schlitterbahn in Texas, which many claim to be the best in the World.
But nothing compares to Blizzard Beach & Typhoon Lagoon for theming.
In fact the only place I get even close to the feeling of those 2 is while riding the lazy river at Disney's Aulani on Oahu.

Universal certainly isn't "lower standard". Gosh people, get out there and explore other places because Disney isn't perfect, at all.

Disney certainly isn't perfect, but it's standards are unquestionably higher than Universal's.

On my last Islands of Adventure visit, We walked in at opening and went right for breakfast.
We were among the first visitors to enter that counter service restaurant that day.
Several tables were filthy. Never been cleaned the night before I guess.
And as we left a side door, it was horribly smudged up.
I was shocked. There's no way on Earth Disney would start the day like that.
I love Universal's rides, but their overall quality standards aren't anywhere near Disney's.
Not even close.

No doubt Disney's standards are higher. I agree. I just don't like when certain fans think Disney can do no wrong, is completely perfect and won't even think twice about venturing out to other places. Then they get mad when Disney gets criticized by other fans. Ridiculous. Then again, more for me, right?

Really though, neither resorts are perfect. They do both have their flaws. But bashing on Universal because the fact they're competing with Universal is useless.

And lets face the facts, Universal is a REALLY good competitor with Disney. That's what probably makes the craziest of Disney fans really dislike them.

Thank you, exactly.

The ONLY place I've seen that can hold a candle to Disney is Universal. (And no, this is not meant to spark ANOTHER WDW/Uni debate)

Cedar Point, Kings Island, and Knotts Berry Farm are all part of the Cedar Fair company. They have 12 amusement parks and 6 water parks. They are not close to being on the same playing field as Disney or Universal but they are great parks to visit. Cedar Point I believe has the most roller coasters of any park in the US.

I've already said this before, but Dollywood is truly amazing. Nothing is on the same level as its natural beauty and charm. Plus the food is amazing! The cinnamon bread you can find in the Grist Mill is to die for.
