'Once Upon A Time' projection show to replace Celebrate the Magic

I'm not the biggest fan of this show format in general. It is a roll through the moments of Disney movies, with no real storyline. What bothers me most is that it's the only format they use. Every castle show is like this.

With that said, I certainly favor specific ones over others. In my opinion, the best "roll through the moments" shows has a storyline that doesn't feel forced, good transitions between the different segments, and good music and overall flow. The show can't feel like a bunch of IP promotions forcefully strung together.

So I do like Celebrate the Magic better than Once Upon a Time. The intro and closing music is good, and its fast-paced flow certainly caters to "this is meh" viewers like me, because I am able to stay engaged the entire time. However, even with that in mind, this change doesn't bother me at all.

I'm far more bothered by the similarity, by the lack of change. I'd like to see a show that takes the risk of doing something new. That captures the "magic" not by simply rehashing clips that are proven to provoke emotion, but by creating a new story. Perhaps it will come one day.

It's... I like it, but even I will admit that the quality can sometimes vary wildly from episode to episode. On the other hand, some characters, thanks to the writing and acting, consistently deliver week after week, most notably Robert Carlisle's Mr. Gold/ Rumpelstiltskin.
Well at least Zootopia made me more aware about Ginnifer Goodwin outside of the show.

I'm not a huge tv person. I watch one show on Masterpiece on PBS, Survivor, and Sportscenter. I've seen previews though and I don't know if it's something I could get into.

I had absolutely no clue that the show had any presence in Disney parks. I thought it was a series based on existing characters.

No, just someone who understands how things in the real world work...and apparently getting schooled by a "23 year old know it all"!

I'm still trying to figure out how a projection show getting replaced has anything to do with a parade.

Them being cheap would be adding another Move it Shake it to the lineup after dark and playing dance club music.

It is, for the most part. However, the cast has done several promotional things for WDW.

How would that be cheap? Adding a show with forty plus performers, five floats, drivers, PAC staff, and more. I wish WDW would be that cheap right now and I know their entertainment cast which is hurting for hours would love for WDW to be that cheap. Once Upon a Time will be a great new offering, but also a much cheaper one to run than a parade of any kind.

Cheap compared to building a completely new parade.

I was honestly just trying to come up with something the person I was replying to could have said instead of comparing this new show to loss of the night parade, which I found comical.

Will this run 15 minutes prior to Wishes? It seems on the day I'm in MK Wishes is at 10 and this runs at 10:45.. sorry if this has been answered already!

I wonder if other Disney films are going to be included other than the ones confirmed for the show like Jungle Book, Pirates of the Caribbeans, Princess and the Frog, etc.?
