I cannot believe it!!!! I just got a phone call from...guess who???? Mickey!!!! He said he was gonna see me real soon...in the Bahamas!!!! My Sweetness has been working a little covert operation with a little cruise fairy I know ((**wink wink** I soooo love yooouuuu)) to surprise me for our upcoming anniversary in September. It's only a little 3 day cruise for just the two of us sailing on the Dream on 9/27. It's tough for him to get away from work for longer right now. I'm so pumped I can't stand it! We're flying, not driving this time. And I can't waaaaaiit! Oh my! I can't wait to loggin to our reservation ASAP so I can start booking some dining and stuff. How sweet is my old man?!?! **sigh** I sooooo picked good....Mom & Dad were sooooo wrong about him..... LOL! Oooooh, and he just informed me we have a magic porthole room. I know, how crazy am I for being this excited over a magic porthole but it's not something I'd dare book when the boys are along so I'm pumped for the special-ness of it!

Oh I can't stand it!!!!! Time to hit the diet extra-super-hard!!!!!

That is wonderful, congrats! What an amazing surprise. You definitely have a good one there.

I am taking my first Disney Cruise on the Dream 9/13 - 9/16. I used your "Cruise Fairy" to book my trip based on your last trip report, and she was wonderful.

Have a great trip.

Last cruise rocked! They keep getting better! I did a trip report...here's a link in case you missed it. The move is done (mostly for now...house --> apartment is tough, hoping to land back in another house within the next year). Yes, we do need to catch up. All the craziness before the cruise then the move was just over the top!

Crush Dude!

Back from WDW!Counting down to DLP in November!

How awesome!!! That was the cruise Becky and I had initially planned to sail on, but by the time she called DVC to book they no longer had availability for members booking with points. We ended up with the sailing the following weekend. What a bummer we will be missing you by a week!

Have a blast planning! And kudos to the hubs for a wonderful surprise!

Awww...I was secretly hoping at least 1 of my buddies would be on the cruise with us. LOL! Looks like I was close. *sad face* I know it's the anniversary thing but then we both enjoy being with other folks, too, so it would've been a happy addition. Ya know? I'm really having fun pouring over what I want to do most. I've already switched some stuff up... LOL!

Wow thats an amazing surprise, he's a keeper: )
Do you think he could have a word with my hubby before our next anniversary?!!

It was the BEST surprise! You know, I've enlisted the help of Santa's elves and a gift fairy in the past to help make my secret wishes come true. It works! One year I had a specific doll I wanted for Christmas. A bunch of my online doll-collector friends volunteered their Santa's elves services and got in touch with Tracey for me. That was 10 years ago and I still have that doll! Then on our kid-free trip in May '08 I was dropping hints for one of the Disney florist gifts. It was like a rose with a bracelet or something. Just to make sure he got the hint one of my good friends sent him an email telling him how I was gushing over my little daydream of getting that. Guess what showed up during our trip??? He's so sweet! So, yeah, if ya need some help just lemme know. I'll shoot an email to your hubs for ya! Gotta pay it forward, right?

Woo hooooooooooooo!! I'm sad Mickey spoiled the surprise but so excited you know so we can all be excited together!!!!!!!!

Yay yay yay!!

He's definitely a keeper! :)

I'm glad to know and think Mickey spilling the beans couldn't be beat. Like I said, I suspected he was going to do something. He asked me weird questions about how I knew how to do stuff a few times. My response was, "All you do is get in touch with Tammy. She can do anything." Looks like he listened. I sure am glad he did! When I got the call I was shocked. I thought he was trying to start the ball rolling. I didn't know he had booked and we had the confirmation! So then I had the fun of doing the online check-in...and playing with activities/dining...

You're a legend Tammy ;)

Yeah she is!

Lol! I was a little suprised that so many people knew who she was talking about! :)

Um, yeah! I'd like to say your the "best kept DCL secret" but I think the secret is getting out! LOL!

Congrats!

Thank you! I'm so psyched! Wish everyone could go with us and have the adventure, too!!!

So, yeah, been digging and researching and trying to decide what I want to do most on my 3 short little days. And trying to get a solid feel for how the whole Hyatt at the airport and DCL transfers will go. Ugh! Looks like unless we check a bag with the airline I can't carry my booze onboard like I have on our previous cruises. Tracey is pretty adamant that he doesn't want to check any bags but I don't know how we'll get around it, really. We've had a bad experience in the past with being on the last flight of the day where I checked luggaged didn't make it on the plane with us. :(

So, initially Tracey (& Tammy :p) had us booked to do Atlantis Aquaventure again in Nassau, Palo on Nassau night, and Remy on CC night. They booked that stuff because on first thought that's what I said I'd wish to do. But then I thought about it more (scary) and I didn't feel so sure. We've done the Aquaventure before. If we did it without the kids we'd prob'ly float on the river the bulk of the time there. That's a lot of money for river floating. Then I thought about the ship and how much there was on the ship that we hadn't done before and really wanted to. If we were gonna spend a day on the ship to explore I'd rather it was on Nassau day than CC day. So I cancelled the Aquaventure. Then I started looking at the private cabanas on CC. How dreamy are those??? I mean, if a non-beach person whose biggest beach aversion is the sand that you can't escape spots a semi-sand-free haven, would that not be the thing to do??? Still, the cabanas are 'spensive as all heck. The savings from cancelling the Aquaventure didn't quite cover the cost. But then I started looking at the Palo & Remy menus. **sigh** Palo's appeals more than Remy's to both of us. If we don't have Remy, the old man doesn't have to pack a sport coat either. Nixing Remy saves another $150. Yeah, that wasn't a hard decision at all. So, our current list of things we're scheduled to do are:

Day 2: Palo dinner @ 8
Day 3: Serenity Bay Cabana

Mmmmm....can't wait!

Hubby and I have been having the same discussion regarding our excursions, etc... In the end, we decided that for this particular trip, since it is only 3 days, we are going to spend most of our Nassau day on the boat just enjoying the views and amenities offered by that big old beautiful boat. There is so much I want to see and do on the boat that I don't think I will miss the Nassau excursions....at least not on this trip. We will definitely be spending the day off the boat at Castaway Cay in Serenity Bay. I looked at the private Cabanas, but alas they are all booked. Probably a sign that I don't need to spend that kind of money for a single day of lounging in privacy. Especially since I have already splurged on a room upgrade for our post cruise stay at the Wilderness as well as two nights party tickets for MNSSHP. Guess I'll just have to lather on the sunscreen and suffer with the rest of the masses on the beach. LOL...

We opted to stay at the Airport Hyatt for the night before our transfer/check in. I am nervous about the transfer, but that is more due to the fact that I tend to worry about things way more than I need to. If I have learned anything about Disney it is that they really do make getting from point A to point B a relatively simple process, so I should stop worrying and just go with the flow knowing that everything will be a-ok.

Can't wait to read your trip report. It will be interesting to hear your take on Palo vs. sticking with the traditional dining options (yet another big discussion for me and my hubby). Plus, I can't wait to hear all about your private cabana. I am super super envious of that splurge but also super super happy for you. :D
