Did anyone happen to watch this last night? I'm not into the Olympics at all, but I did happen to catch and watch this. Jamie Sale and David Pelletier, from Canada, put on a flawless, stellar performance, yet took second to the Russian team, who made at least 1 mistake during their routine.

I don't care for figure skating period, but the Canadians performance had me amazed. They were excellent, and in my mind, the true winners. They were wronged greatly by the judges. Maybe that's how the Russians have won it for the past 30 some-odd years, or however long it's been.

I didn't get to see the Canadians skate last evening but did catch their short program which was awesome. Last nite I did catch the U.S. pair of Kyoto Ina and her partner. They put on a medal winning performance yet starting in 5th place hurt their chances for a medal. Did they even get a medal?

Some of the judging in the olympics had been a bit shadey lately. The mens half-pipe snowboarding yesterday had some extremely iffey decisions.

The US did a very good job on the mens halfpipe and swept that event...no doubts about it....They ROCKED! :)

I'm pretty sure the U.S. Finished 1,2,3,4 in the half pipe. That doesn't sound iffy? That's just a SWEEP!

The best part of the Winter Olympics is gone...! ;)
I did watch it and cried with Zimmerman-Ina´s presentation. The night before, I looooved La Salle-Pelletier´s performance. It was sooo beautiful! Even at the end when they had that funny mistake. Unfortunately, I couldn´t see the last 4 couples last night cause I had a dinner party and none of my friends was into that
I´m hoping they show it again on tv.... :(

Skakting judging was terrible. I thought it was funny that Scott Hamiliton made such a big stink, though. Olympic nuts like myself will remember that Scott didn't skate his best, and not as well as other skaters, but still took the gold in Sarajevo.

The Amrican couple were absoultley fantastic and virtually flawless but still ended up behind the Russians who made some mistakes. Thsi is all nothing new in Skating judging.

The half-pipe judging was suspect. The Americans Rocked, but the last guy that NBC showed was as good or better than our silver and bronze guys and the judges voted him out of the money. Though I don't have any valid reason to think so othe rthan what I saw.

I really don't care about the pairs figure skating, if it's Michelle Kwan getting screwed over, then I'll care.

You guys are crazy, if you don't think are snowboarders deserve their medals.

They all got the most air and performed cleaner than the other competitors.

It's pretty wierd that a Canadian company did the US wear, you would think that it would be an American company.

No, i mean like the Finnish guiy, who looked like he put in a great run, and all the comentators were wondering which colour medal he would get, and the judges placed him 7th!

Funny part is that they offered the clothing contract to Nike and Reebok...they both turned it down.

The French have admitted to a conspiracy with the Russians...each agreeing to vote for the other's team in certain events....

...after an investigation, it's not a stretch to see the Gold Medal awarded to the Canadians where it friggin' belongs ...

...it was a flawless performance by the Canadians and the Russian pair simply didn't have it that night...it's a shame that the Canadian couple won't experience the award ceremony, the thrill of standing proudly while their flag is raised during their national anthem.....it would've brought the crowd to their feet for them and a tear to the eye of every Canadian watching at home.

...the politics of the Olympics mirrors the politics of the real world, and I don't trust the French to EVER do the right thing in either venue.

Ok, now it is all coming out, I didn't know, the French judge agreed to vote for the Russians in exchange for the Russian judge to vote for the Frenchies in Ice Dancing.

Ok, that's just wrong, now I have sympathy for the Canadians.

I just heard about this last night, when I watched the Men's Short Program...I was busy with Mardi Gras on Monday night and set my VCR timer and hopefully taped that segment of the competition that night, so that I can see what all of the hoopla is about.

The votes from judges in Oylmpic Games have been fixed for many a year, look at the women's gymnastics how have some teams become champions? The answer is usually to host the games your chances of winning gold seem to increase ten fold.
