So we ate at Ohana tonight and I was very disappointed. The 3 of us were put at a table that should have only seated 2! First out came the salad but no bread. Next they gave us the chicken wings and dumplings, no bread. She then brought Chicken on the skewers to us but had to take away the salad cuz no room at table. Then she finally brought out the bread but no butter, and the noodles and veggies. After we were done eating they asked if we would like any shrimp or steak!! Very disappointing meal experience from start to finish.

I Love 'Ohana but I do admit it can be hit or miss sometimes on food quality and service. Last time we ate there I was really disappointed in my favorite (the wings were flabby and not very tasty) so we may or may not go again on the next trip.

Last time we were there we did get everything but they only came around once with the meats, so we only had a couple pieces of chicken and steak. In retrospect we should have asked the server to get them to come around again but it was late and the bread pudding was calling...:hungry:

Salad? Are the lettuce wraps gone? We skipped last two times again for similar reasons but we are going to give it another try this fall. I was disappointed we didn't get any of the dipping sauces but I wasn't sure if they did away with those too?

We have been there several times and each time the experience/service has been fantastic. As they bring the food out, everything has been hot and fresh. We politely decline the salad usually. As well as the pork or chicken skewers. We love the shrimp and steak!! They have always been generous and timely with the skewer distribution. I commend the waiter and his helpers. Never have failed us. It will be our first dinner out of our 9 this trip. Wish we could be there twice this trip.

I would have refused the table, and asked to be seated elsewhere, even if it would've required waiting a bit more. There is no excuse for that.
Unfortunately that is 'Ohana. Tables for 2 also accommodate 3, since the table itself is longer than a typical two-top. (Thankfully they don't seat 4 at these tables...though a chair would fit...but there would be no room on the table top for all the dishes.)

My party of 3 has been seated at these tables a few times. We don't complain since we have also experienced what it is like for 2 of us to sit at a round table for 6...awkward!!

I haven't experienced those tables, as the many times that we have gone has always been with a party of 4 or 6.

The last time we were there ( 2012) our waiter kept coming with just skewers of shrimp because that's all my husband wanted! It was a great experience! I hope it isn't as bad now as everyone is saying because we're planning on going again this year!

I was there in Aug 2014 and it was great as always. I think there can always be a hit or miss night, but like @HRHPrincessAriel said, you have to ask for what you want while you are still there. If you aren't getting the meat you want, flag down a server. If you aren't happy with your table, tell them that when they seat you.

I've been there twice for dinner both times with large parties, and everything was so good that it has become part of our todo list and on our next trip this june the reservations are already made. with that being said we are always looking for the next place to put on our todo list and there are SOOOOO many great places to eat. O'hana's is one of our favs.:D

I'm sorry to hear about your "wing disappointment"! They're one of my favorites, too. Appropos of nothing, if you want to try to make them at home in the meantime, this recipe is absolutely delicious and spot-on: http://www.thedisneychef.com/2014/09/honey-coriander-chicken-wings.html (We had a luau-themed birthday party for my daughter this past weekend, and the 'Ohana-style wings were a huge hit -- absolutely delicious. I roasted them in the oven a couple of hours before party time, tossed them in the sauce -- at least, what sauce was left after my liberal "tastings" -- and kept them warm in a crockpot.)
