OHana- Breakfast or Dinner????

We've only been there for breakfast, and it was the one-and-only dining disappointment of our trip!!

To save you from the things that made our meal unpleasant: if you are escorted to a table in a corner bordered by the Polynesian Lobby and the restrooms, so dark, remote and loud that no server cares to venture there to warm up your coffee or ask if you'd like some more waffles, and the characters brush by so fast that by the time you raise your camera from your lap and aim it at them, they're gone, leaving your children confused and in tears, TELL THEM YOU WILL NOT SIT THERE!!! Insist to be seated somewhere better, and you'll be all set. We enjoyed the food at our breakfast (fruit, waffles, breakfast meats, good strong coffee and fresh-tasting juices), and I think we'd have enjoyed the whole dining experience, had we been better-situated in the dining room.

Next time, we look forward to trying dinner at 'Ohana -- ANYWHERE but at the table we occupied last time!

i've done both many, many, many times. breakfast food is standard fare - scrambled eggs, mickey waffles, bacon, potatoes... it's pretty good, but pretty standard. the characters are what makes breakfast at o'hana special - mickey and pluto, lilo and stitch. we *never* dine with children, but have had excellent character interactions here as adults. breakfast buffets are often a popular choice for us when we go as a family because we have numerous vegetarians in the group.

dinner is all meat. meat, meat, and more meat as another poster mentioned. it's all delicious and it is incredibly easy to leave there stuffed with amazingly yummy food. 'appetizers' include a salad, chicken wings, potstickers. then they'll bring some veggies and the lo mien and all the meat. HOWEVER, we will not be going to o'hana for dinner in the near future for two reasons: they no longer have the scalloped potatoes or the pork sausage (if you don't know that you're missing those, it's still a great meal).

Y'all are making me so hungry thinking of all this food. I am pretty sure we will do both on our next trip. I love a character buffet and my hubby is a meat conosieur so it is a must for both. I can only pray that this elusive scalloped potatoes come back. This girl can put back some poatotoes. :)
