Oh, those poor Ingalls girls...

I'm so tired. My dream involved cleaning house from top to bottom, and decorating for Christmas. My house but not my "real" house so it took me a while to find things. And whoever owned that house before me was a real slob!

Plus, I was hindered by my young (around 5 or 6) year old son and his friend climbing on the furniture, touching (and breaking) antiques, etc. I certainly understand the significance of that, since my son is grown and away.

My husband is always amazed that I dream as if I'm watching a movie, and I can relay the plot upon awakening - at least for a couple of hours.

I remember my dreams vividly, but Dave never does. When I was pregnant, I had the wackiest dreams - it kept him entertained, and me frightened.

So.... Dave took my mom with him to the grocery store to give me a little time off, so what did I do? I updated the pictures I had put on the boot's trip report (they had been on my Magic album, so they no longer appeared in my report.)

I really am pathetic....

Quick check in - QUIET night!! Went to a friends earlier - about 25 of us with kids - and our daughter was too old to be playing with the girls (she's not into Polly Pockets) and didn't want to run wild with the boys, so we let her play games on our iPod touch for a bit until the activities shifted and caught her interest. So I'm talking to a friend and I got a text - and when I read it, it was from HER and said, "I'm bored". Whining has certainly gone high tech!!!

My husband called from the boat to see if the kids and I want to meet him down there. Yes - if I can teleport and someone else packs the sandwiches!!!

Try clicking your heels together....

Kids and I haven't gone on the boat all year. At the beginning of the season my husband's back was REALLY bad and he only took it out to fish with some buddies that could help him dock it. The kids have had skating every Saturday and he's been working Saturdays. Sunday's are usually a jumble of all things that HAVE to be done. I know the summer is almost over and we SHOULD head down there, but the kids are at my parent's house all week and I know they could use some down time in their natural habitat!!

We used to use it a lot when the kids were little, but now not so much. Ours is pretty stable and it tracks through the water like a hot knife through butter. I was leery of it at first, (since Dave had flipped me over in one on our honeymoon), but I really love it now. It's just so cumbersome to load and unload off the car.

Yes I'm whining....

It must be so heavy to get on a car!!!

We had a 23 ft sailboat for years. I know my husband enjoyed it, but guess who had to pack all of the food, etc? Plus undo lines, raise the sails, winch in, etc. while The Captain sat or stood at the tiller giving orders? And then clean it when we got to the mooring or dock?

It got loose from it's mooring during a storm, and took out part of a neighbor's dock. It also tore the keel, so it said "No more sailboats!"

So now he owns rowing shells. And part of my reason for becoming a ref was to avoid having to help him launch at regattas. ;)

Sounds like our camping trips. His idea was that you get in the car and go. Somehow, the food, clothes, and supplies would just magically pack themselves.
