Official Meet thread

It's Official, the Meet will be held in Dec. I know many of you will be there for the first 2 weeks and I suggest that we use the MVMCP as our main "Meet" location. We will have 2 "Meets" at the party with one being on either wed. or thurs. of the first week and on Mon. or Tues. of the second week. Just as soon as they announce the dates, we can firm this up. I strongly suggest not doing the party on the weekend because of the crowds.

I will need suggestion from all of you for other meeting places, dining suggestions if everyone would like to meet somewhere for a meal and any other ideas that you can come up with. And if anyone would like to volunteer to help out please either PM or e-mail me.

I will also need everyone who will be going to pm me with your dates and your e-mail address so that you can be contacted with important information for the Meet. It is a good idea if you would also add to this thread by telling me that you are going. If you would rather keep it private, than please PM or e-mail me with your information.

MainStreetUSA (Zac) has graciously agreed to make shirts for the affair. Thank you Zac!!
I will need everyones input on the shirts.

Please indicate in your responses on here if you would like them to be:
Long/Short Sleeve
Specific Color
A specific saying/wording

Please keep in mind that they will have WDWMagic.com Official Meet Dec. 2003 on them. And we are not allowed to have disney characters on them.

Zac will have a thread up where you can vote on the shirts that he will design. You will then order your shirts directly from him by PM. Please make sure that you include all of your information for him including size, name, address etc.

The cost for the shirts will run approx. $25 a piece. This will cover the cost of shipping also.

The last time I went the times were 8-1AM.

Hey SWhite, I am going to be there December 3rd-10th. We will be arranging a Dessert party on December 5th andof course the WDWMagic meets are going to be on December4th and December 9th at the MVMCP. There is also the Mega Meet on December 6th run by Deb Wills of WDWIG.com
As far as the Candlelight Processional, what would you like to know?? I have been for the past two years, love it and it is now a permanent part of my holiday plans in the World. I usually do the dinner package which allows you priority seating, and dinner in one of the countries (depending on the package you choose) Anything I can answer please write back!!! Belle

I was just wondering if the dates for this year have been set and if it is possible to make resevations for the dinner pkg yet this will be our first time at WDW in the holiday season have been there 4 times previous to this trip but some how I seem to be more excited and truly anticipating this trip more so than the others and I don't want to miss out on anything so if you have any info I would appreciate your help thanks :sohappy: :xmas:

I didnt think they had put out that info as of yet,....but I absolutely could be wrong!!!
As far as the Dinner package, the best source of information is Disney themselves. The prices vary by which countries you can choose. Last year we choose the highest tier and got dinner at Chefs De France. I thought it was OK. The food was a bit exotic for my tastes, but that is just me. Given the option again this year I would definitely do Canada. The food is absolutely amazing there!!! As was the Sweet Reisling wine we had chosen for dinner!!!
In addition to Dinner the pass they they will give you when you sign up for the CP will also give you 15% off all of your purchases in EPCOT on that day only!! Time to go SHOPPING!! :lol:
As I recall from last year the Tier 1 restaurants were Garden Grill, Restaurant Akershaus, and The Biergarten in Germany (That was good I did that the year before last)
Tier 2 was The Rose & Crown (Very good) Nine Dragons etc.
Tier 3 is Chef De France, Alfredos, Teppanyaki Grill etc.
My best advice is to call Disney, get a listing of each of the restaurants in each level, and what is included for each level in terms of appetizer, soup salad, dessert etc. review the menus on WWW.WDWIG.com under the dining section and decide what your party would like in any event and call back and book that. This is an event that they will charge your credit card immediately and you only have until a certain point to change your reservations if needed so be sure to get all the details!! Belle

MegaMouse Meet

The focal point of the weekend will be at 1:00pm on Saturday December
6th, the Mega Mouse Meet. This is an opportunity for Disney fans to meet
some of the unofficial website founders, internet community leaders and
guide book authors!

I recieved the contract for the dessert party in the mail today. (it's a little late getting here) I will be returning it this week along with the non-refundable downpayment. If you are planning on joining the rest of us and have not contacted either WannabeBelle or myself yet about going, please do so soon. I must have 20 attendees in order to have the party. If I do not get 20 attendees, the downpayment will be lost. So PLEASE let us know if you will be joining us. Also, those of you who are joining us, please feel free to send me your payment. If anyone would like to see the menu, please PM me and I will send it to you. If you have any questions at all about the Meet or the dessert party, please contact me.
