The main reason I rarely ever went there was that there were so many better places to eat just a couple steps away...Even as a younger kid, I would rather have had food in any of the World Showcase nations. I still miss it, because its just a bathroom, now. I just hate that its another empty building that used to house something that isn't there anymore.

It had the best breakfast going. Reasonably priced. No ADR needed. Sit down. And characters to boot.

Also interesting; the sinkhole in that "lake." I heard one nearby claimed an attraction - or so it is said.

Martin, any truth to the story the sinkhole lake infront of Odyssey did eat a truck back during Epcot Center construction? (heard from Robert on the tour)

Personally for me, the most interesting aspect of the building is it's multi purposes as built. Cast cafeteria, cast break room/lockers, nursing center, mom/baby center, The Odyssey restaurant, and of course the handy restrooms.

I’ve never seen any proof. I thought the sinkhole in Showcase lagoon took the truck. Maybe two trucks were lost.

The need for this restaurant wasnt there... then why are they building a new restaurant? Im excited for the space theme. But i miss this being open.

Yes, it was. Hence Stargate was extended as part of the Innoventions project.

Odyssey was closed to save costs.
