Any suggestions on the type of fan to bring? I too can't sleep without a fan, but have never thought of bringing one along. That's really the only part of the trip I don't like because I am never able to get a good nights sleep. So if any of ya'll can share with me the type of fan you pack that would be great.

We actually bought a regular box fan from Walmart ($20) and leave it in the garage in its box. That is the one we always grab to pack in the car.

If you fly, you can make a box that can be checked with your luggage. My father in law did this with an old cardboard box. He just made a box similar to the one it comes in, but extended the sides to cut out a handle. His fan flew all the way to Hawaii and back.

I bring a small sound machine.
It plays meditation music.
It also has other sounds like chirping birds and bubbling brooks and ocean waves.
It helps me fall asleep.
I started using it when I was working swing shifts and I had to sleep during the day. It helped to drown out outside traffic noises.
Now I can't sleep without it on.:snore:

Me too. I use one every night. Last night I fell asleep to an artificial thunderstorm, but usually I go for the crickets. I can't sleep without it and it goes everywhere with me.

I have to bring a fan. Not for the air, but for the humming noise it makes. I can't sleep in a completely quiet room and the a/c doesn't work because it cycles on and off, and I never know if the fan will be one that I can keep on :snore:
I thought I was the only crazy person that needed the sound of a fan to sleep!

Dawn Wash and Toss

For those who mentioned that they can no longer get the Dawn Wash and Toss, I found this tip one one of the other boards:

Soak a sponge in dishwashing liquid and let it dry out (takes several days). Cut it into squares, pop it into a baggie and all you have to do is add water to the sponge to activate it and just toss it out when finished Voila!

I thought this was an excellent idea so I've prepared some for my upcoming trip (leaving in 24 hours!!!).

I always pack our bongo bag. Its a pop up clothes hamper. Even on vacation, I can't handle a messy room. Everything in its place and a place for everything.

First Aid kit cause I'm very clumsy (and don't want to ever pay $5.00 for two bandaids on WDW property again).

And a 1 lb bag of M&M's for DD - cause she has low blood sugar.
