Oct 18-26 Pre-Trip Report

My first ever pre-trip report - October 18th to the 25th

So this is the first pre-trip report I've ever done. Let's start with some intros:
This is my DW Tammy. We've been married for 12 years this August. It was her who actually had to talk me into going to Disney for our 10th anniversary. She`d probably kill me if she knew I posted a picture of her.

So this is our third trip to Disney, and our first as DVC Members. Currently we`re booked for 5 nights at AKL (Club level studio) and then 4 nights at SSR (our home resort). We`re on a waiting list for the last 4 nights at AKL, but would be totally fine with staying at SSR just to try another resort.

We booked our ADRs in March as follows
October 18 - `Ohana
October 19 - Teppan Edo
October 20 - San Angel Inn
October 21 - Donald`s Safari breakfast
October 22 - Whispering Canyon
October 23 - Crystal Palace (breakfast)
October 24 - Hollywood and Vine (Fantasmic Package)
October 25 - `Ohana

We`re planning on doing the MNSSHP on October 21st (we did it in 2008 and loved it). We booked our kids into the Pirate`s League earlier that day, so I guess they`ll be going as pirates. We`re also excited to be seeing Fantasmic for the first time this year. I bought a new SLR camera this year, so I`m hoping to have a lot of pictures to post when I do the trip report. I guess that`s it for now.

We will be there the same time, we go Oct 15-29.
We are also attending Mnsshp on the 21st.
We are also eating at O'hana, 50's Prime time, Donalds Safari and Crystal Palace but not on the same days!

So as we get closer we had to make a few changes to our ADRs (for logistical reasons). We've now moved Crystal Palace to October 21st at 4:00 (we're doing the MNSSHP that night) and the Donald Breakfast safari to the 23rd (we're hoping to tackle the Kitchen Sink at Beaches and Cream that night, so we'll do a big breakfast and then...).

We've also been looking at souveniers, etc. Does anyone have an opinion on Vinylmations or Pook-A-Looz (we just heard about these tonight). Also, does anyone know if there any Phineas and Ferb plush dolls anywhere in the parks (specifically, Dr. D? My son has Phineas, Ferb, and Perry. Candace is available at the Disney Store if he wants it, but no sign of Dr. D).

That's cool. Our reservation is for 6:40. I've never been there before and am really looking forward to it.

I was on a mission to find Phineas and Ferb stuff during our last trip. although I found none at the parks, I found pins at my resort(all star sports) that had all the characters except Dr.D and Jeremy. They also have some t-shirts with the boys and perry in downtown disney. I haven't seen dr. d anywhere....

I'm glad you switched you ADRs it seems easier now and you would be as busy hoping around

Do you have a Disney store near you? We were just in one yesterday and they now have a lot of Phineas and Ferb things in (shirts, dolls, toys, backpacks, etc). Also, and I don't know it this is only in Canada or not, next Saturday (August 14th), they are doing a Phineas and Ferb day at the Disney Store. They have two time slots where kids can come and build a Perry the Platapus inaction figure and watch the first episode of P&F.
