OC Register - Disneyland and Universal Studios ask Newsom not to finalize theme park reopening plans just yet

I'd bet he's just adding new colors. Perhaps a lovely chartreuse? :D (But never green!)

It would definitely not be green. Green would mean going back to normal. Instead, I would call it Willowmist.

A dusky, romantic shade of green obscured by the ethereal around the edges. Yet still tinged by the Orange of fear.
Evoking rural England in late afternoon. Or maybe just suburban Fresno on a really, really good day.

Willowmist.

Don't get too attached to the current color-coded system @TP2000 as apparently it's already in planned obsolescence stage per Deadline yesterday:

"Newsom said he would like to see all of California’s counties out of the purple tier. Accordingly, the state is hoping to update its new tiered guidance system “by the end of the year.”

“It’s an iterative process,” he said."

DARN. My poor county finally got positive adjustment, we’d always been negative... so prob means new colors by next week. And no doubt the new rules will be enacted fast and they’ll be more strict than whatever we’ve got now. Goody.

I’m calling it now- Disneyland will only open in the Turquoise Tier.

Perhaps we need a new poll:

Which color tier will Disneyland open in?

Willowmist - 2023
Chartreuse - 2024
Turquoise - 2025
Aquamarine - 2026
Blue Green - 2027
Green Blue - 2028

Any other crayon colors to be added?

:D

It's not Turquoise! It's Willowmist. Follow the Science.

Purple Pizazz was the name of the band I formed at the age of seven with my next door neighbor. Neither of us had any musical knowledge or abilities, so naturally we formed a band. We should have stuck with it because all these years later and the name is still awesome!!! 😎

This is perhaps the most important knowledge to come out of this thread!

Did Purple Pizazz have outfits? Did you ever book a gig? Is there video?

Our band pretty much consisted of picking a band name and lip syncing to New Kids on the Block. Luckily my dad never could quite figure out how to get the microwave sized camcorder to work properly so no videos exist. Literally every video he ever recorded of whatever he’s recording has him talking the entire time about how it’s not working right 🤣🤣🤣

Dammit! This is worse than the Zapruder film not quite showing what angle the bullet that shot Kennedy at came from.

But at least, please tell us that Purple Pizzaz lives on in your heart. Eternally.

Also, please tell me you had matching outfits. 2020 is so awful. Please remind me that 1990 was better.

Lol it will live on in my heart for all eternity. I promise you that.

And, I don’t think we had matching outfits, but we both shared the same first name (Jamie) and liked to wear sideways ponytails! We also LOVED jumping rope. Alas, our band dreams were probably cut short because this would have been more like 1985, and we developed Mario fever when the Nintendo came out!

I was hoping for matching outfits, but it was made even better by matching side ponytails.

You never cease to amaze. :D

Sadly, the trams I fear are dead forever, all other theme parks have completely eliminated them, I can't see why Disney would be any different.

In Anaheim, the DLR is obligated to run trams from the Toy Story/Bullseye lots due to traffic mitigation rules from the city, at least until pedestrian bridges are built to avoid the pedestrians from interfering in vehicular traffic.

They may not have to for a year or 2 given that when they open, there may be no need to utilize that lot due to reduced capacity.
