Tim Hortons is owned by Burger King, which is headquartered in Florida.

Canadians are growing less fond of the chain by the year - I've only heard it positively mentioned as a stereotypical joke lately.

People still like the coffee.

The chain itself got some bad press when the minimum wage went from $11.40 to $14.00 overnight, and some franchise stores started cutting paid benefits.

To compete with McDonald’s, they recently brought out a rewards card. Buy seven cups, next one is free.

Might be owned by an American company now, but it is still distinctly Canadian. Timmie’s is fine.
