Was he actually suggesting I post specifically so I can get likes? Hahahaha...ok, I confess... you caught me. I come on here so that I can get likes. I am a "like hoarder". Every time I get a new like, I rub my hands together and then scour the interwebs looking to see where I might get my next one! Mwhahahaha. *in my head, my evil laugh sounds like Maleficent, just, so you know, everyone can get the full effect* ;)

Please. Of course I appreciate anyone who likes my posts but I'm not out to cater to anyone just to deliberately get them to like a post of mine  :confused:o_O:rolleyes::confused:o_O:rolleyes: And I will not hold it against anyone if they don't like this post...I'll just sick my evil minions on you instead ;)

Also, thank you for the answer Lee! :) I'd be interested to hear more about the dynamics of WDI being in-house versus independent companies. Hope whylightbulb sees your post :)

Oh my how you carry on. Must have hit a nerve eh?

Disney World is a liabilty because some anonoymous posters think it is?

Come on now, seriously.

A liabilty.

Really?

Jimmy Thick- Seriously?
Not a legal liability, but a financial liability. It takes so much money to properly maintain and keep the resort fresh, that they see it as a financial liability.

Remember the rumor that Disney was looking to unload a all or a portion of their Parks and Resorts business? Why do you think that is? Why do you think Disney has been willing to spend large amounts of money at every resort they manage, while WDW has seen entertainment cuts, attraction development lagging, and not much besides hotels?

And again, if you factor in what Universal is doing (Oh...look! Another round of permits!), it makes WDW look even worse and makes you REALLY wonder how folks in Orlando and Burbank are content with the product? They know what it needs, they just lack the will to do it.

Why?

They see it as a risk.

No. It was the most absolutely absurd statement you have made yet. I express my opinions and I enjoy talking with fellow posters. I don't care if I get a like or not. My post was trying to convey how stupid I found it. Plenty of others have expressed the same views as me and I don't think they are out to get likes. And just because I respond to you does not mean I'm out to get likes, since that seems to be what you are implying. Again, I appreciate it if someone does but I don't care if people like or dislike them.

It really isn't the entire backup of my argument. The evidence of my argument is evident in pretty much everything that has happened in WDW lately. Where their priorities are, the result of what did happen and more importantly-what didn't.

Sure, sure, whatever you say.

I am more interested in hearing you comment on what Tirian has to say above. Because if such truth telling continues from him and others I will be able to spend a lot more time on more important things than posting here.

Thank you Tirian for bringing a bright candle to this gathering.

BUT the Forbidden Journey attraction is easily, hands down, unquestionably the most technologically advanced, impressive thrill ride on earth. Disney doesn't have anything that comes close to it. I hesitate to call it the "best" ride overall in Orlando because I prefer the experiences Disney offers with fully realized environments like the HM, POTC, and Splash. FJ definitely had noticeable budget cuts that Disney wouldn't have allowed: you can see the show building ceilings, the screen edges, and the theatrical lighting, especially in the Whomping Willow and Dementors segments. The mirrors used in the loading area look cheap. Yet the moment you enter the observatory and make your way out of Hogwarts, the attraction is a series of Wow moments. I normally don't care for Universal's style of attractions where the ride keeps yelling, "Watch out!" For example, Spiderman has never impressed me because I feel like I'm just watching a 3-D movie on a shaking chair. Potter is different. The attraction blends technology and a storyline so well, I can confidently call it the closest thing to classic Disney on the east coast since Tower of Terror opened.

Just wanted to point out that the screen edges are plainly visible on Soarin', especially if you have the misfortune of being in one of the seats on the outer edges.

As for Spider-man, I guess I'd say you're in the minority. A lot of people think it's fantastic. I think the finale when you're being swung between buildings is one of the most impressive experiences ever created for a theme park ride.

*But* I don't think I'd feel good about paying $100 to visit just IOA, either. Of course, I wouldn't pay $100 to visit Disney for a day. So I can get what you're saying (although I think you're underselling the landscaping and the views around IOA's lagoon).

There overwhelming priority was to fix DCA. That is accomplished. Now they can turn their attention to other matters. :)

Just saw this and probably should just let it go, but...
Are you seriously trying to say 74 doesn't know about the work on KS? Really?
And are you also saying that he addressed "FrankLapidus" because he actually thought he was a real-life incarnation of a fictional character?

Oh, my...

I hadn't taken advantage of the option to ignore certain members of the forum until today...since I have and the nonsensical rambling and baiting of other members has been removed, I find that I'm enjoying being here so much more.

Now before anyone says that we should have purchased multi-day tickets, there is NOTHING at Universal Studios that interested any of us. The Simpsons? Twister? No thanks. My friends only wanted to ride the Forbidden Journey, and I looked forward to another go.

That's too bad that you missed the chance to hop on the Mummy and MIB, IMO 2 of the best of attractions across both parks. :-(

Isn't that great? So much better than ignoring the babble of blathering idiots from the old board... At least now none of their brainless nonsense shows up, not even in quotes... I love it... May have to use the feature on a few more here...
